You can tell the difference between white trash and advanced white trash(i.e. goons) by the location of the empty soda cans. In this case, they're by a television, which is your more traditional white trash. Self-loathing and perpetually single white trash will instead isolate themselves by the facade of friendship they get from the internet, often a computer.
