I have a lot of tattoos that I collected from different artists across the country because I like the subculture and I like the art and I like the way they look. I also like the idea that they're a form of art that is forever for me but completely impermanent for the rest of the world. It's fun for me to get a tattoo and talk tattoo history with the artist that has dedicated their lives to a very neat folk art and by getting one I get to participate in that tradition. Man I just really think tattoos are neat.

tattoos hurt more when you get them over a bone so unless you have a bony rear end id say butt tattoos should be less painful. maybe butt skin is more swnsitive. this has been *deep thoughts* with ebfield

I have friends with tattoos, who get their pieces from a select few tattoo artists regularly. To them its like supporting an artist by collecting their artwork and displaying it on the body. I get it. But I don't have any tattoos and I'm glad. I feel unblemished and poo poo.

I have three tattoos and I honestly forget I have them. I have one on my wrist, my side, and on my back between my shoulder blades. Every once in awhile I'll see one of my tatts and be like, "oh yeah forgot I had that thing" and move on. I don't LOVE my tattoos, but I also don't wish I never got them.
