My first attempt at this drawing had really inaccurate proportions, so I ditched it and started again.

Today was pretty rough. I did the first page and a half from imagination while watching tv, then switched to refs. I really struggled with those and it shows.

Here's the two I did tonight. I wish I'd paid more attention to the proportions but I still like them.
Does anyone have tips for effectively erasing Prismacolor colored pencil lines? My kneaded eraser and my Monozero eraser don't do the trick.

Sigma please fix your long nose problem. I say this with love.

Edit:

Your browline and hairline are pretty much in the right place. The back of the skull is also pretty much fine. The problem is that the lower portion of the face is always elongated by about a third. The distance between the hairline and the browline is supposed to be about the same as the distance from the browline to the bottom of the nose and the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin. These are the basic thirds of the face. The top of the ear is generally supposed to be level with the eyebrow, and bottom of the ear is level with the bottom of the nose.

You've got the nose elongated so that it ends where the bottom of the lips should be. Then the lips are down where the bottom of the chin should be, and the chin beyond that.

Thank you for this. I realized the proportions were off when I drew the second one in the same sitting.
It was actually the same girl. :(

More progress on that tattoo design.

This is amazing!

I haven't really been inspired lately but I felt like drawing a more awesome Disney princess. Meet Stygia!

I might change her skin color to black and actually draw her more.

dupersaurus: Thanks.

Touched it up a bit with an eraser because it got smeared a little more than I wanted.

This is incredible, and an excellent showcase for work where less is more. You have captured the essence of fluffy black cats!

Man the face turned out great! It's good to see how you're improving, I especially like the forms in the hair surrounding the face. Angles and curves.

Aaah this is one adorable nidorina! Have you done other pokemon like this?

I'm happy with how active the doodleclub thread is this month! :3:
Here's a celebratory sketchdump of 3 characters that I'm still sorta developing:
I started off trying to jot down these characters I've sorta been thinking of on and off for years:

Then I simplified from that, trying to go for a bit of a bobbleheady look that would cut down the detail on the bodies.

Early colourscheme tryouts, still haven't got them down.

Wardrobes developed to be more fantasy-ish, weapons decided, mount designed etc etc.. I finally get the main char (still nameless) to look how I want her to look.

Worldbuilding: dwarves are like elf dachshunds also two goat peeps.

Did I mention spidermuffin? Spidermuffin.

I compliment you on your work too!

It's funny, these blob cats have by far got the most positive reception of any of the cats I've drawn so far this year here and also on FB and Instagram, it's funny that the 'less is more' method seems to work for me. Have some more :D
