Skylanders is so successful Nintendo, Disney and Lego all have their own versions now. I think Disney uses Infinity almost exclusively for all their movie tie-in games.

The Skylanders have nice sculpts, I can see why they would attract adult collectors. The problem is they look like they don't have articulation, but I've not bothered to look at one outside of the package and I don't have any game systems to use them on (nor any desire to play the games) Also LOL at this failed Kung Fu Panda lawsuit - http://www.cartoonbrew.com/law/cartoonist-faces-25-years-prison-failed-kung-fu-panda-lawsuit-128973.html

Doing it with something that you actually stole is hilarious.

Doubtful, film studios, like every other big company, have entire legal teams devoted to figuring out what counties they likely to be sued in so they can dump millions of dollars in "civic improvements" there for favorable juries.

It would be concerning to Disney if all the buzz regarding an upcoming film project is almost entirely porn, because that would likely cut into the family audiences that the film needs to be profitable. IShallRiseAgain posted:Its just some random person who acts as though furries are a persecuted minority that need positive representation lol. Yeah, but at the same time I would have a hard time believing that Disney is happy with this development. If I was a furry artist, I'd avoid Zootopia like the plague for a few years just because Disney has been know to be litigious.

computer parts posted:Apparently any talking animal movie will do that. The article they linked stresses that other talking animal movies aren't generating the same amount that this one is. Sure, Norm of the North looks like it's going to be poo poo and Zootopia at least looks watchable, but Zootopia also has other parts of it targeting over the standard age group, like the DMV joke or Shakira's character. They are aiming wide, and it is drawing in an unexpected audience that could put off their main demographic.

Nah. No one is going to Google zootopia and get gross porn. They'll Google it and get the official site and movie tickets sites, and they'll know about it from trailers and commercials. Seeing a trailer or commercial they probably won't even look it up on the internet in the first place and decide whether they want to see it based on marketing or guest appearances on the Today show alone. It's a non issue.

I've actually been to a dinner theater presentation of it and the guy they had as Frank-N-Furter had the mannerisms and voice down square to almost a creepy degree. It probably helped his case that his first appearance in the play was a spotlight turning on him as he stood literally right behind me before strutting up to the stage. It probably also help that they had his microphone mixed so loud it was like the booming voice of a Tim Curry Impersonator God telling me how he was a Sweet Transvestite.

I was talking about upcoming movies with co-workers and a few of them wanted to take their kids to see Zootopia but were creeped out by the gazelle character. Then another co-worker asked if that was that "furry movie" which lead to us explaining to another 50+ year old co-worker what furries were while she had a look the entire time. Either Disney likes it or not Zootopia is associated with furries. That's not Disney's fault or anything. But sometimes groups, people, etc. attach something to media and it just sticks. Like My Little Pony or Robin Hood. I doubt anyone associated with those movies would've thought they would become furry icons. Life (and people) are strange sometimes. I do think that attached article did have some good points. Although, lol at that Reddit link.
