A lot of people in countries like Senegal rely on the fishing industry and rely on Sea Shepherd to keep their seas relatively clean

I wish they used violence to save the whales. Like give them a 3 inch gun or something to sink the imperial fleet.

Have they salvaged their loving cigar boat yet? The one they deliberatly sank and got caught lying about.

That was the best season. That guys crew said that none of the SS girls were worth loving and they smelled like hamsters, then they inevitably got upset with their orders and the captain decided to go to prison lol

The first season was also cool because they had that doctor who conflicted with Paul Watson a lot on the topic of safety, like Bones and Kirk, to the point that I think he was ordered off the bridge at one point. Anyway, I thought they were going to have a fun relationship, like Star Wars, but then this is real life and the doctor left because he didn't want to be there to watch people die for no reason lol

The New Yorker article that picture is from is amazing Paul Watson is an actual literal insane person. His best friend as a child was a beaver and one time he shot a kid because he was about to kill a bird

Hire and arm Somali pirates. Give them letters of marque against Japanese whalers. Put that poo poo on pay per view.

Why don't the Japanese outfit one of their "research" vessels as a Q-Ship and then create their own show that revolves around luring dumb-rear end eco-terrorists into range before blowing them out of the water? Instant Emmy Award.

The Sea Shepherd's TV show Whale Wars was loving amazing, I'd never seen anything like it. Everyone started watching it all "Yeah, killing whales is bad. You go stop them, brave warriors" and incredibly quickly turned into, "Holy poo poo, these people are dangerously incompetent loving idiots." It was great tuning in each week to see how the Sea Shepherds would top their previous performances in almost killing themselves and failing in every way imaginable over and over and over.
