An exceptional fake "leaked" poster put a lot of bands that matched a lot of actual lineup earlier today. I suspect they got scared it might leak beforehand and pushed it out today (GV employees were only told leaving the office today it was going live). Things like 2manydjs and despacio (james murphy weird REAL sound system) were not like something you'd think about.

Wait so these are sold the week before Coachella? And there's a limited supply? So if they sell out, I missed my chance to go/am gonna buy off craigslist for a huge markup? I dunno, it sounds kinda cool to not pay now for a festival in April, but that 1000 passes worries me. Any word as to whether that usually sells out? And you have to have the wristband physically put on you at the location, a week before the festival? Yikes, not sure if my job would be okay with me wearing it all week. I'm gonna have to research this more, but thanks a ton for the info.

Well use it as a plan B, and I think they're saying the wednesday BEFORE that weekends' respective festival. (They start on a friday so i'd make sense you'd wear it for two days, not for seven.)

A little mixed feelings about this one. They did a great job getting a LOT of good acts, but not a whole lot of my favorites which usually happens. Still pumped, I just moved out of California and am already missing the sun. Glad Silversun Pickups are coming back, their 2009 set ruled. Underworld and ZHU should be insanely cool.

I'm not really into live music due to the crowds, but man I would absolutely love to see Axl Rose and Slash on stage together. However, it would cost a ton of money and there's a decent chance that one of the two, probably Axl, won't even show up. Too risky. I hope they will stream it on youtube again.

Weekend 2 is always the better weekend. I'm sure one of these years i'll have to do a single year AND be weekend 2 but the advantages are you don't have to wait on bands getting their poo poo together (drake, modest mouse) or the pretty fuckers "just being 4 da experience".

I'm excited, this line up was definitely better then last years, and I had a huge blast last year!

Weekend 2 here -- will be my 5th Coachella. The lineup is one of the best I've seen. I honestly can't wait for the LCD Soundsystem reunion (saw one of their last shows at Coachella 2010 and it was incredible), and I've also been meaning to catch Death Grips live for some time now. Also, yeah, weekend 2 just seems more low-key/chill/about the music, in my opinion. My friends and I always prefer weekend 2.
