it was originally supposed to be the belt all the unsigned outside talent and young njpw guys on the rise would wrestle for with its own NEVER branded shows but that was scrapped pretty early on and its since become ishii's gold watch and added prestige for semi-main events it doesn't have its own rules like the ROH Pure title it's just the division where guys hit each other really hard oatgan fucked around with this message at 08:33 on Jan 6, 2016 |

they call it openweight but i don't think a junior has ever wrestled for it
|
# ¿ Jan 6, 2016 08:46 |
|
The distinction has been totally arbitrary for a while now. Yesterday Kenny Omega just announced he was no longer a junior. With the heavyweights doing just as much flying and spotty sprints as the juniors the only big difference is card placement

Nakamura vacated the IC title and the new champ will be determined in a match between Kenny Omega and an undetermined challenger. How unprofessional

maybe gedo with his supreme foresight and planning should have nakamura put someone over on the way out so he has a program set up for when he comes back

it says a lot that njpw just thinks wwe is a phase nakamura is going through and he'll be back once he gets it out of his system

Is the 2nd night more of the same or is there anything worth going out of your way to see? Otherwise I think I'll double back and watch the post-Dome show because I was never able to get to it due to NJPWW being awful. Second night of fantastica mania was fun but not as good as the first (Cavernario and Nakamura vs Stuka and Taguchi is worth watching). Tonight's show will blow both of those out of the water. Wrestlekingdom was really great and New Years Dash from a couple days later was extremely fun and easy to watch show. WK obviously had higher highs, but NYD is easier for me to recommend. It just breeze by and was a joy to watch oatgan fucked around with this message at 02:11 on Jan 24, 2016 |
