lol sure it looks like a third world country but at least it isn't actually one like the US, where they don't even have proper access to healthcare and there is at least one mass shooting every day (plus the police going round murdering minorities every few minutes lmao)

Anyway, we gave it to who deserved it most !

Here they tend to care about both unless you go to a really lovely dentist

sorry yes you are right

it's still a hellhole where a guy can walk into a room and shoot dozens of children and it's better off if they die because their hospital treatment (even if they die in hospital) will likely bankrupt their family

and in response people rally to make guns even easier to get lol

UK seems completely terrible though, makes sense that their ancestors also spawned the Yanks

Because architects and planners thought brutalism was readily applicable to a country where the sun never loving shines and the air is a dense mix of weak carbonic acid due to all the people and their cars being clumped up over a tiny little island, op.

Lets not forget the rampant genital mutilation issues that plague america. It's shameful that a president as liberal as Obomber has not made a single comment on this massive internal problem.

Also if that second pic in the op is of York uni (I think it is?), you're missing all of the ducks and dead, drowned students in the six inch deep 'lakes' which are really the main feature of the institution (rip Claudia Lawrence whose disappearance led to that dredging).

Yeah welcome to the UK property market, especially in Cambridge, which has a bit of San Fran syndrome.

Like the suburbs are being rapidly cleansed of the people the town relies on to function. Nurses are being kicked out of their homes so they can jack the rents up for the IT sector.

I just went around and checked and it seems like this the case for this house. I will say that it was freaking AMAZINGLY cold when we got here and every radiator in the house has been running full blast ever since and the lower floor is still cold as gently caress every morning, to the point where I can let my kid run around in her jammies down here before the sun comes up.

RIP cambridge. I took my daughter to the skate park in Jesus Green today. It was really cool. I have seen exactly one black person since arriving here and that was the guy who delivered our pizza the day we arrived and were too tired to go shopping.

I also saw a couple of cops without guns and in those little yellow school patrol vests and asked them whether there was any place to stay out of after dark and they were like "nah mate youre good." :)

What would you look at while you do the washing up without a kitchen sink window? How could you gauge your SO's mood just by how they slump towards your back door from the bike shed or garage?

There's one next to the kitchen sink in this house and every idiot sink here is that kind with two tiny taps, one hot one cold, and no way for you to mix the two and so the hot water is scaldingly hot and the cold water is so cold you cant wash your hands in it without significant discomfort.

The kitchen here is a separate room but for some reason there's a little window right above the sink that you can open and look into the living room, while youre doing the dishes.
