Yeah welcome to the UK property market, especially in Cambridge, which has a bit of San Fran syndrome. Like the suburbs are being rapidly cleansed of the people the town relies on to function. Nurses are being kicked out of their homes so they can jack the rents up for the IT sector.

There's one next to the kitchen sink in this house and every idiot sink here is that kind with two tiny taps, one hot one cold, and no way for you to mix the two and so the hot water is scaldingly hot and the cold water is so cold you cant wash your hands in it without significant discomfort.
