He's a "rookie" from the KHL, and someone the Pens went after during the offseason, before settling for Plotnikov.

Penguins got nothin'

Honestly I don't know why they started MAF and they should pull him and just let him rest, they are going to lose tonight regardless

Well, gently caress. If the Pens offense is their typical bad against the backup that will be the gwg.

It's just sick the way the Blackhawks repeatedly come up with random dudes no one's ever heard of and they play great for them

Meanwhile the Penguins come up with... uh... Maatta when he's not hurt, and Bennett the 8 games a year he's not hurt, and, uh... welp

The Pens have no legs at all and this is still better to watch than any Johnston-era game except the ones Geno dominated

Speaking of Geno, what happened to him? And why is it a Law of the Universe that he and Sid can never ever be hot at the same time?

Chicago does have very good scouting but I think every GM knew about Panarin. Blackhawks got him because 3 cups / Patrick Kane.

Madden holds the record for SH goals from a defenseman I think, both total and in a single game.

I really hated NJ growing up but I couldnt hate Madden, guy was just amazing and if they had fancy stats back then he would have been king. I guess being an assistant coach for the Panthers this year aint a bad way to follow up though. :allears:

If Kane was still on his point streak there would be a zero percent chance of the Pens getting favorable calls. Right now though it could go either way since these teams are basically the face of the east and west.

 Madden was a center.

He had a good amount of shorties for his era (18 in his career) but it was outrageous how many chances he and Pandolfo created but didn't convert on. Their 2 on 1 failure rate is legendary among Devils fans.
