 These just popped in the yard up after a rainy week. My best guess from 5 minutes of Googling is that they're some sort of milkcap (Lactarius), about which Wikipedia helpfully states: "There are, however, no deadly poisonous mushrooms in the genus." Should I eat 'em?

It's advisable to eat any and all mushrooms you see growing in your yard or in the woods, but not the ones in grocery stores because they may have GMOs which are definitely more harmful than potent, naturally occurring neurotoxins or liver damage.

I awoke one morning to some neo hippies standing in my front yard picking from the weird strip of mushrooms that grows every summer. Politely, I asked them what they were doing and they said that their mycology app said these particular mushrooms were safe to eat and it didn't look like I wanted them. I told them to take as many as they wanted but stated they couldn't eat them on my property, and to this day I'd like to believe they poisoned their entire commune with my lawn shrooms and that their poor, skinny hippie dogs feasted on their corpses, leaving bones to be covered by a new form of fungus that will ultimately swallow the earth not unlike the Mario movie. eat lots of store bought mushrooms (crimini, portobello, pizza) to build up an immunity to mushrooms, then you should be able to sample w/e grows in your yard with no worries.
