I was at the shooting range here in BC today and a group of mainland Chinese men were there. They were cheerily ignoring all the safety rules like proper ear and eye protection until hounded about it to the point of being kicked out, when they then got their totally appropriate ear and eye protection out of their car which was just behind the shooting house. Like, two meters from the door of the shooting house. One of them called me a loawai to my face in a conversation about determining if I liked to hunt or target shoot. I don't speak any Chinese dialects, but I know that word and he just threw it in with his very bad English. They had some really nice hunting rifles they were shooting poorly with. Later they were down at the pistol range, marginally safer as they already had their eyes and ears on, peppering the pistol targets at 7m. They were driving a brand new Range Rover.
