another successful championship Baylor Bitch year, what's that three champs in a row now? Good job everyone, its great to have a Real Through 8 Weeks Championship + AFF-Man Through Rest Of the Weeks Championship Except for Cheating Injuries and Weather (cheating weather that only affected our team), good job all Baylor was easily the best team in the nation until the injuries and EVERYONE saw it, even Alabama who would've lost easily to us in the championship especially since I coudl've coached and I knew they'd do the on side kick there just like the MSU on side kick last year and now I Call up briles whenever I spidey sense a weird onside kick coming and he knows to get the boys prepped, Baylor Bitch go bball go rockets go houston texasn go rg3 to texans go rg3 to cowboys harden baby!

Not that it really maters, but Northwestern ranked above Tennessee in the Coaches Poll? That said it is good to see Tennessee is an early top 15 team, but lets wait until they play VT and UF before anyone gets too excited. On paper this Tennessee team should be really freaking good. No excuses for Jones.

Also 241 days until the biggest drunken white trash fest in the history of college football. As a former resident of the Ti-Ciites (Johnson City) I hope the whole area is brunt to the ground in celebration of Tennessee's victory.

Auburn has a strange schedule. Say they pull the upset on Clemson...there's chance for a hot start here:

- Clemson
- Arkansas State
- Texas A&M
- LSU
- ULM

That's right, five straight home games to start the year. Then...

- @ Mississippi State
- off
- Arkansas

but then

- @ Ole Miss
- Vanderbilt
- @ Georgia
- Alabama A&M
- @ Alabama

Tennessee choked hard this year. They led Bama in the 4th Q only to lose, and had complete end of the game meltdowns against UF and Oklahoma (both games they should of won). Honestly Tennessee's fanbase has paid a lot of dues in the last 10 years (and we deserved some of it).

Still I always hope Bama and Notre Dame fans get what they deserve every year. It use to work for awhile until Saban showed up.

This is kind of disingenuous. We led by ONE point, for like 3 minutes. There wasn't a person watching that didn't think Bama was coming back from that.

Sure, you can chalk that up to the defense giving it away, but still, it was one point.

Lmao FSU DE/DT Georgio Newberry got a combine invite. Thats awesome.

For some context, he kinda skated by the last four years in varying levels of seeming depression, probably made worse by now-departed position coach Sal Sunseri. Under one year with new DE coach Brad Lawing, he became a rather exceptional passing downs interior DL. His development and attitude change in one year is nothing short of meteoric.

Iowa 9th in the final AP poll. Seems fair, and it's right where we were in 02-04. Ferentz's fifth top ten team, which is pretty amazing given all the limitations of the program and how often people have wanted him gone (including me after last year). The season couldn't have ended any worse than it did, but in hindsight I hope people remember how absurd and fun the ride to 12-0 was and remember it as the special season it was. Given that 2002 and all the Hayden Rose Bowl teams had similarly bad endings I imagine they will within a few years.

We're gonna be way over ranked going into next year I think. I could see maybe in the 20s or something, but I've seen us all the way up in the Top 10 some places. I know why people are optimistic when they look at what we bring back but this was a lightning in a bottle year. We're not going to being to recreate it, even with the same guys.

On a non-Iowa note, that title game was great. Back and forth and really well played offensively on both sides (love you, Lane). Clemson has consistently been really fun to watch under Dabo, I hope they get a title eventually.

Yeah, 9th seems about right. This season was amazing and getting destroyed in the Rose Bowl did nothing to tarnish it for me.

On that very note, The Rose Bowl was amazing. From the parade to the tailgating before the game to even the game itself. Once I got over being pissed in the first quarter, it was fun as hell. At that point, you knew there was nothing Iowa could do so we just started having fun and cheering for anything we could. I was in a really fun section in tunnel 11. How'd the game experience go for you, MV?
