i'm sure most of us know about bitstrips, aka those stupid one-panel cartoons that are everywhere on Facebook: there is, however, a very good parody of these titled "bertstrips". they follow the same one-panel, captioned format, but instead of using harmless, badly-drawn caricatures, they use Sesame Street screenshots (particular of Bert and Ernie, hence the title). the captions then warp the screenshots from stills of a children's show to something diabolical. here are a few examples:      there's even a specialized bertstrip creator for these. upload the screenshot (there's quite a lot on the Sesame Street wiki), caption as necessary, save the image, and post. step 3 in the creator is to upload directly to the bertstrips subreddit, but we don't want that, because gently caress Reddit.

People don't post bitstrips anymore do they? Those were some pretty terrible times. I liked when really fat and ugly people made the cartoon versions of themselves be skinny and cute.

Bertstrips are pretty good though. this is beautiful.
