The guy running the bodega lives three walking minutes away. he assured me last night that they'll be open today. Also I live in apartments so worst case scenario I mooch off the neighbors. How people manage to starve and die during blizzards is beyond me.

If I were in this situation I would fill a 20 gallon pot with 64 packages of ramen/seasoning and 128 cups of water before the storm knocked my water out. This would give me 14 days worth of food at 1737 calories a day. It would only cost $12.80 total and it wouldn't go bad because of the salt. I may do this anyway.
