I had a southern teacher for Macro and Micro economics (i took him twice because he let us use our textbooks and notes on test day). I don't remeber what example he was trying to make but at one point he went off on a rant about how being gay is bad, and people just started leaving class mid lecture, and then the professor got really defensive. I would have hung out but like everyone was leaving and it was my last class of the day, so I went home. Obviously it was a pretty offensive rant, but it didn't really affect me too much, it was just so surreal. This was like 2005 in a Philadelphia suburb
