Your travels aboard the Bloodscent were generally unnotable. The ship’s Captain, one Volin De’Trax, kept to himself during the journey and most of his several thousand crew did likewise. In fact, they treated you and your fellow heretics presence onboard as if it was both auspicious and dangerous in equal measure and avoided you accordingly. Such is the stigma associated with the Mendacious Oracle’s summons. Once in orbit over Kymerus, you descended to the surface via one of the starship’s landers, a boxy, ungainly craft. From the air, the spaceport of Carrion Corpse is a desolate and unappealing location. A few scattered buildings dug into rocky hillsides, along with three landing bays hollowed into a nearby cliff face. Your shuttle lands in the central bay, and no sooner have you left the ship than it takes off, headed back into orbit. Elika The Seer leads you from the deserted bay. “I must travel ahead to announce your presence at the Temple,” she informs you. Approximately 8 kilometers separate the village and the temple itself and only three or so kilometers between the port and the temple’s shrine garden. Temperatures range to the extreme, reaching below freezing at night to well over 43 (°C) during the day. What diversity the climate has in temperature it lacks in seasons—over the planet’s entire surface, the year is dry and follows consistent, daily oscillations of heat and cold. The sky ranges from a reddish-orange to a sicklypale green between dawn and dusk and a dark blue to black after sundown. One moon, Elorum, orbits the world followed by a trail of meteoroids that occasionally shower through Kymerus’ atmosphere. The soil is dry, supports only weeds that seem to thrive on the rotting flesh of the few animal species to call Kymerus home, and ranges in colour between brown, amber, and brick red.

Welcome to Planet Kymerus, local time 0200, ambient temperature -20(°C). You are at the landing pad for the only spaceport on this forsaken world. Accommodations for you to spend the night are available in the shattered remains of a Halo heavy lift barge on the nearby hillside. You have rooms reserved for a week in your names if you choose to check in. Or you can check out your surroundings when its warmer."

Ciphrian the Inevitable

The Temple of Lies was, of course, related to Tzeentch. Normally Ciphrian preferred to avoid the minions of the Changer, given their rivalry with his patron, but the Mendacious Oracle's offer was intriguing, especially the offer of library access. For a one-time Librarian like Ciphrian, the secrets of the Warp were an irresistible lure.

Ciphrian taps his staff against the ground twice and chuckles. "Carrion Corpse. A fitting name for this cheerless little pit." He turns to face the others and motions to the barge. "I suppose we should take advantage of our accommodations until temperatures begin to rise. The Temple of Lies and the secrets of its libraries aren't going anywhere."

Ziven Karies

After taking a moment to look around at the landing platform Ziven nodded his head. Unless anybody here has any familiarity with this planet then we might as well hunker down and try to start gathering some intel. The last thing we want to do is to go in blind and find ourselves being butchered.

With his mind spoken Ziven began to head towards what looked like the nearest building. Eager to both get out of the cold and to start getting a proper feel for a life with actual freedom.

What a hideous planet. Was there anything on it besides the Temple of Lies worth visiting? Probably not. The wastelands were likely ruled by gangs of mutant bikers or something like that. And here she stood on this blasted world, a Princess without a realm, nothing but the (magical) clothes (and power armour) on her back, surrounded by the most motley gang of outcasts she had ever seen. Definitely an inauspicious start to her path to glory, except for the promise from a bunch of monastics that she was fated to a great destiny. Well, she could deal with that. Though she had to wonder at the name, 'Temple of Lies'. It didn't exactly build confidence in their proclamations.

"Is there anything notable on this world that hasn't fallen out of orbit?" she proclaims at the sight of their accomodations.

"How are we getting to the Temple? I hope we're not walking, we'd probably get attacked by... giant worms or vulture-mutants or whatever they have on this world."

Matthias, Former Tactical Marine of the Brazen Claws Chapter

Matthias kept to himself for most of the voyage, except for Sebastian, of course. The two were still obviously new on the path of glory, and frankly, an entire lifetime of being told that Chaos was the enemy, not to mention astartes hypno-conditioning, made it hard for him to trust the others. They had all gotten similar letters, that he was able to gather. How all of them could be so important was dubious, Matthias suspected a trap. Hell, he had enough trouble convincing Sebastian to go along with all this, but ultimately, he always trusted the Tactical Marine.

Once planetside, Matthias began to doubt his choice even more. "What a dump. I don't know how the forces of Chaos have waged war for ten thousand years when this is what they call civilization." Matthias looks at their "lodgings" in the distance. "If that is where we are expected to stay, I would much rather just march to the temple and be done with it, temperature be damned."

Inquisitor Rize

There was always something new and exciting waiting for Rize when he traveled back into Chaos-held space. This time was no exception. The presence of two Space Marines... Did they still really have their heraldry on their armor? My, they fell just recently! The Inquisitor could hardly contain himself.

Mirthfully, he spoke up to the Marines during the flight. "This your first time trucking with Chaos? Don't be too worried. All you have to remember is that Chaos and the Imperium have one thing in common: Someone's always trying to kill you. It's just that sometimes with Chaos, killing you isn't enough."

Upon hearing that they would go to the Temple of Lies, Rize couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Lies, they say? Sounds like the one place on the planet where we'll actually hear some truth. Pay enough attention, and you'll see. At any rate, I think I'll stay for the night and head down to the village once it's warmer. No sense in wasting other resources when time is the most plentiful one at the moment." He turned to his Servo-Skull. "Empy, keep an eye out for anything strange. Wouldn't want to see the Emperor or any of the Chaos Gods before it's time to do so."

Florence looks at a few of the other invitees incredulously. "I'm not the only one wearing clothes, but this is intolerable cold? If this is how soft Chaos has become, perhaps the Imperium stands a chance after all." She glances at Matthias, apparently the sole voice of reason in the group. "I'll have a quick look around the village just in case there's something that might come useful later, and then head to the Barge unless someone wants to walk to the temple tonight. I think it might be a good idea to figure out who we are with and why we're here before going to the temple."

Inquisitor Rize

The Inquisitor shrugs. "It's less a question of softness and more a question of efficiency. Staying warm when it's cold out, especially when you have a decently heated bunk waiting for you, is a terrible waste of resource. Especially when we have the luxury of waiting." He sighs, rolling his eyes. "And here I thought I'd have the opportunity for a few creature comforts after a sojourn through the Warp. But have it your way. You'll find that I am not lacking when it comes to competing over who is more or less grizzled." He lets forth a small chuckle. "And who knows? If you get too cold, I have an extremely convenient source of heat nearby! At any rate, I think you'll find it more useful to have a third set of eyes as well. Empy's not much in a fight, but checking things out is what he's good at." He looks over his shoulder to the Servo-Skull. "Isn't that right, Empy?"

"++I LIVE TO SERVE++"

Rize sighs.

"I have seriously got to give him a livelier vocabulary at some point."

Zerris checks his rifle and slings it over his shoulder after stepping off the transport. He joins the others and adds to the continuing conversation. "Not that it's a grave concern, most of our power armors shield us from the worst of the elements. Either way, I'm curious to see the caliber of the people here. Planetary hardships breed a stronger stock of inhabitants. Even if the temple is a wash there could be entertainment to be had."

Inquisitor Rize

"I have to confess, I don't come here very often. As I'm sure you probably suspect, I spend most of my time in Imperial space engaging in..." The Inquisitor appears lost in thought for a moment as he rolls the words around his mind.

"Engaging in the identification of so-called 'heretics'. Except once I identify them, as opposed to most Inquisitors I find myself supporting their efforts. Nothing beats the look on a planetary governor's face once he realizes that you were never there to root out the problem and have, in fact, made it a whole lot worse." He chuckles again. "It's much more fun to burn governors than it is to burn witches, after all. Witches expect the ignorant populace to hunt them down and burn them. Governors never expect the people they so cruelly suppress to ever be in a position to burn them at the stake. In fact, it's the most fun if you let a so-called 'witch' do the honors. Adds an extra layer of irony to an already ironic scenario." Noticing her staring at the large, obvious =][= symbols, he adds "I assure you that despite my appearances, I am known around here to have an agenda most favorable to the cause of Chaos."

Still suspicious, Florence wonders whether the man was aware of how much he sounded like most inquisitors she had met. "Funny, I thought you were a fake but you do sound like the real deal. Except self-aware."

Two Brothers

Matthias and Sebastian make their way to the hillside east of the village where their accommodations await. A group of 5 mercenaries in red flak armour toting lasguns and autoguns smoking lhos and gathering around a flaming barrel of promethium to stay warm on watch. As the two Space Marines approach them, the leader inquires quickly as if they were here to see Theon. Theon who? Theon who runs that scam of a hotel in that barge. They quickly get directions to see him at the Front Desk.

”Welcome to Hotel Carrion now lets see Two Astartes, Blue and Red Heraldry, Claw on the shoulder guard. Ah you must be Lords Sebastian and Matthias yes yes yes welcome to Kymerus.
Here you go.”
he says as he directs you two to your rooms with as much courtesy as he can….stomach. (Werix gets 1 DoS on a Scrutiny test to realize he hates you both.)

Accommodations are in crew cabins of the Halo cargo barge which are very spartan but clean. The beds are way too small for any Astartes to sleep comfortably but it is a place to get out of the cold.

ZIVEN SEES WHAT'S BEHIND DOOR NUMBER ONE
You start walking towards a long house of some kind made of steel. As you get closer and get a better look you realize it's the shattered hull of a Thunderhawk gunship,
turned into a garage workspace of some kind judging by the combat bikes and trucks parked around it. A sign is spraypainted on the side of the hull, which you can read better with some illumination.

“THE SURPLUS LEGION”

You see a Chaos Space Marine in a blackened and greasy jumpsuit smoking a lho and drinking while music is playing loud enough to be heard in the street as you walk up.
He’s eyeing you and sizing you up, clearly having not seen you and you being too well dressed to be a local. There is a Bolter with a drum magazine within easy reach.

Current Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etfIdtm-OC8

The Squad

You witness the same thing that Ziven notices on your walk around the town of Carrion Corpse but continue looking, getting a feel for the new neighborhood. Its pretty sparse and barren
but you manage to kill about an hour conversing with the locals and walking about to get to know the general layout of the town.

If you wish to linger and conduct trade or attempt to learn more beyond what’s been provided you may do so before going to the Hotel Carrion

POINTS OF INTEREST
“THE SURPLUS LEGION” general store and workshop, managed by a Chaos Space Marine named Remy

“PANTHEON” dive bar and nightclub managed by another Chaos Space Marine named Martin

Customs Office: Import/Export and also where the mining crews come to get their meagre wages so they can get food at the warehouse

Warehouse: Where goods are guarded by the community under heavy guard and where food/water supplies are rationed out.

Hotel Carrion: Hotel made out of a crashed cargoship on a hill managed by Theon

and of course the only Starport on the planet

Inquiry Tests I totally didn’t roll for each of you so we could skip past this getting to know people bullshit.

Florence: Critically fails and irritates one of the locals
Ciphrian: Passes with 4 DoS (Adds to group inquiry success pool)
Amaryllis: Passes with 1 DoS (Adds to group inquiry success pool)
Zerris: Fails with 2 DoF learns nothing new
Rize: Passes with 1 DoS (Adds to group inquiry success pool)
Jenny: Passes with 6 DoS (Adds to group inquiry success pool)

KNOWLEDGE GAINED FROM INQUIRY TESTS

pre:
• Carrion Corpse, composed of no more than 200 occupants
at any time, subsists off of modest importation from other
worlds in order to feed and maintain its inhabitants. These
include preservative-laden and non-perishable foodstuffs,
water rations (since most of the water on Kymerus is in its
atmosphere), and basic supplies to support the world’s few
functioning corpse-starch vats. In exchange, most settlements
on the planet mine ores to be exported. More costly imports
come in the form of delicacies and finery for the Temple,
delivered via ancient compacts with nearby worlds.

• The port exchanges services with the Temple for its main
source of income, but makes little profit after importation
costs. Renkard Copax, though formally only in power over
the temple, has significant influence over the port, which is
“run” by a loose and shifting alliance of several port elders.

• The same families have populated the port and served the
temple for generations—birth defects and peculiar behaviour
abound, as do minor and disturbing mutations brought on
by the Vortex itself. In most cases, they cannot afford to hire
a ship to take them off of Kymerus and fi nd that there are
worse trappings than living in the temple’s shadow. Even
still, Mendacious Oracle Renkard Copax is known for his
excesses and though ports interact with him personally
only on rare occasions—he disappears for months at a time
when exploring texts of lore and other curiosities—when
he demands entertainment, death, dismemberment, and
humiliation follow. If it were not for his tremendous power
in the Screaming Vortex and his considerable defences—at
least compared to the capabilities of the port’s inhabitants
themselves—they would do away with him post haste.

• Many villagers distrust Theron, but none are willing to say
why. This information is inferred from observation rather
than carousing with the locals. His small staff is youthful,
and many seem unnaturally so. His guests range in ages,
however, though he shows a preference for the younger
among them and treats the others with outright disdain
when he knows he can get away with it. The port offers
no other accommodations and, given the extreme nature of
the environment, most elect to stick it out at the lift barge
regardless of the way they are treated.

• A champion of the Blood God, known only as the Disciple of Crox, lives outside the town proper, scavenging to survive in the barrens of Kymerus.
He routinely comes to challenge those who arrive from offworld to single combat, dedicating each kill to his merciless God. Expect him.

• Beware the Light of Ascension, a shipwreck that will likely be encountered on the way Temple of Lies.

Ziven Karies

Even without the armor it was easy to see that the man before him was a space marine. Seeing that he had made no hostile motion so far Ziven reached down to his sheathes and unbuckled them, to indicate that should the marine go for the bolter then he would be more then willing to draw his blades. Taking his eyes off the Marine Ziven eyes wonder over the variety of vehicles on display and a slight smile crossed his face. Having no idea on how the group would actually make it to the temple the chance to acquire a vehicle would make it much easier to not only reach the temple but also leave quickly if it turns out that a place known as the Temple of Lies was not completely trustworthy. Turning back around to stare at the Space Marine he tried his best to indicate that he was interested in doing business before he began to speak.

"By any chance do have any transports that I could acquire? It would be preferable if it had decent armor and speed but all I really need is something that can carry a large group from point A to point B."

Amaryllis

Jenny was pleasant to be around in a strange way (besides the intoxicating aura of adoration that seemed to emanate from her). They were blessed by the gods (Amaryllis had a good idea which one in particular) with nigh-supernatural charisma and beauty and knew exactly how to use it. Just how ambitious or cunning she actually was remained to be seen, but watching her blast through obstacles with narcissistic self-certainty and blatant social manipulation was in itself extraordinarily entertaining and interesting.

So Amaryllis is happy to follow her into the local dance club or tavern or whatever the hell it is, just to see what happens.

Inquisitor Rize

"A hunting party would be a very good idea, but I'm not sure the Disciple of Crox would welcome being gunned down by all of us. His main thing, from what we've gathered, is that he's a Khornate with a penchant for duels. He may be slightly less than pleased if we attack him en masse with ranged weapons. And as a Champion of the Blood God, Khorne probably cares about him. Do with that what you will."

The Inquisitor looks around the camp, noting the buildings in the area.

"I'll keep an eye out for the Disciple of Crox, but I've no wish to lose my head. Until then, I think I might inquire at The Surplus Legion to see if anything is useful."

He ponders a bit before coming to his next statement.

"What's everyone's take on this Mendacious Oracle anyway? I know we were all called here by him and he promises great knowledge, but I hesitate to accept this...hospitality without knowing what the exchange is supposed to be. Here in the Vortex, nothing offered freely is without its price."

Though the initial haggling with Remy was successful, what had been promised did leave much wanting. The group had a Rhino to transport them across the planet but it had clearly seen better days and would require physical force to get most of the doors working. The machine did come with a gun but considering the state of the machine Ziven doubted the thing had any ammo. Attempting to press Remy for basic maintenance was going nowhere so deciding not to press any further he activated his vox and tried to contact the rest of the group.

"For those hoping to reach the Temple tonight I have some good news. I have managed to hire a Rhino to serve as transport whilst we reside on the planet. It has clearly been in one firefight too many but it should get the job done."

Well, fuck. Really?

SERGEANT SEBASTIAN

Even with the time that had passed, Sebastian had trouble shaking the shell shock from faking his own death. He had spoken sparingly to the others, only really engaging with Matthias in the cant of the Brazen Claws. The assault marine had kept to himself, tending to his armor and his weapons, unable to repair the chunks of ceramite missing from the years of service but nonetheless trying to keep the armor polished and impressive. What else could he do? He wasn't so far fallen that he felt he needed to make comrades with the heretics and traitors that surrounded him; he simply needed to keep himself, and his friend, alive and fed.

He came back to reality, blinking as he looked about at the tiny room that he and his brother had been given. When had they even arrived? He runs a hand through his hair, his brow furrowing. He kept finding large gaps in time, and he didn't like it. Something was more wrong than he would have liked. Still, he only shook his head, clearing the cobwebs and holstering the chainsword he had drawn without even noticing.

Matthias, Former Tactical Marine of the Brazen Claws Chapter

As Sebastian starts to slowly draw his chainsword, Matthias slowly brought his combi-melta in front of him and barrel still down, rested his finger by the small trigger that would fire the one shot melta on the side of the weapon. This wasn't the first time that Sebastian had acted this way as of late, and while he would never tell his brother, Matthias feared that during one of these fugue states Sebastian would go violent and turn the chainsword on his brother. As Sebastian started to come too Matthias let the bolter down easy, and removes his helmet, giving his brother a smile. "We've slept in worse, though barely. Luckily I've gotten good at 'sleeping' while standing and letting the Catalepsean Node do the heavy lifting; since we are not going to fit on these beds."

Sebastian strokes the stubble forming on his face, before addressing his brother once more, "There is no reason to stay around here. We should see what our fellow travelers have gotten themselves into. They seem a contemptible bunch, but all of us got the same invitations. The Lord of Fate has seen reason for us all to be together here, and I would rather not disappoint." Matthias was still uneasy referring to Tzeentch at all, an entire lifetime of service to the Emperor ingrained into him. It was only in interactions with the few followers of the Chaos Gods they have had since their fall that Matthias learned of Tzeentch. Matthias also learned that he was at least warp sensitive. He may not be a psyker, but he was able to more easily perceive the warp; that is why the Sorcerer that tricked them was able to so easily get into Matthias's mind, even with a gellar field in place.

Matthias makes his way to the Surplus Legion in time to run into Ziven and the vehicle he had acquired. Matthias nudges Sebastian, "Look at that, a Rhino. Takes me back to devastator training when we practiced firing lascannons from the open side doors. I remember I accidentally discharged into the rhino next to us and blew off the track. Tech marine Jarvis was not a happy man."

CATCH A RHIDE

Ziven Karias’s inquiry goes smoothly. “Ahh, you came off the ship did ya? Yeah I think we can put something together.” He gets up, casually picks up his bolter and walks you out behind the garage where a rusted and shot up Rhino (Steel grey with Hazard Stripes) awaits. “That there is Undying Vengeance, Iron Warriors used to have her till they left it behind and my old warband salvaged it. They’re all dead by the way but I kept the ride. The Back Ramp is jammed shut and the side doors need a good kick to get open.” Remy gives Ziven the look over for a second before nodding with approval. “Yeah if you were just some pissant mortal I’d say get one of the stronger mutants or a space marine to kick it open but you should be able to manage it. If you want spare parts to fix her up before you head out that's a separate issue as well as ammo is a separate deal. I don’t think you’ll need ammo where you are going though.” Any further inquiries into acquiring ammo are stifled, basically boiling down to “Why the gently caress do you need Legionnaire ammunition. This the Surplus not the Mortal Refugee Center. Go survive having some geneseed shoved in you and then we can talk when you are a Brother.”

This all changes on the Sorcerers’ arrival. When Ciphrian the Inevitable arrives and has a chat with him, Remy leads him into the garage and points to the a pallet of olive drab ammo boxes marked 80 bolts, .75 Caliber. “I try to keep stocked for a rainy day. That and incase that witch over there at that Temple tries some poo poo. I’ll give you 10 of those, that's 800 bolts. Have your slaves carry the rounds and remember I’ll be keeping an eye on what they take out.”

The party has a Poor Craftsmanship Rhino that counts as open topped for anyone except the driver. The Back ramp is jammed and will need a tech-use to unjam without spare parts at +20. Even if fixed the machine spirit is battered and the ramp may still have issues. The side doors issues are also said to be related to this as the doors strive to keep themselves shut, as if to ward out the evils of this world. They will require someone with a SB of 4 to kick open as a half action before the hydraulics function properly. There is a Legion TL Bolter on the pintle mount without any ammo.

Spare Parts and access to Remy’s garage/assistance to return Undying Vengeance to her former glory would be an infamy test at +10 and will return the Rhino to full working condition. Bolter ammunition would be a +0 infamy test for a single box of ammo (80 Bolts), 4 boxes of ammo (320 Bolts) would be a -10 infamy test. Revy will not deal with a mortal and will require a chaos space marine or persuasion before he parts with his ammo. Ciphrian acquires 10 boxes of ammo easily

Oh and you don’t get to keep this Rhino, it's for local use only. Acquiring it to keep is a separate acquisition (Near Unique base/Unique due to it being the ONLY Rhino on planet. Ancient Warrior applies for reducing the availability as well as improving Remy’s disposition to you all. Doing things for Remy/improving his disposition towards you could help matters if you want to take it with you offworld. If you REALLY WANT to keep it, we can figure out something out.)

CLUB PANTHEON

Martin gives absolutely no fucks about how pretty Jenny, the Everpretty (Cold Hearted) though the rest of the slightly mutated club goers are definitely entranced. That said he has no problem giving her an information because it's no big secret. “So here’s the deal with that maniac. He’ll come into town, try to pick a fight and challenge those he thinks worthy. He won’t kill you if you refuse because of his code or some poo poo but if you take him it’s a duel to the death. You must be one of those Slaanesh worshippers or some poo poo because no way are you that….aesthetically pleasing normally. Anyway he might kill you for it if he gets wise but probably not. Anyone who follows the blood god long enough and gets lost in his message turns out to be a loving imbecile.”

Anyway the party is pretty jumping, the booze is surprisingly good, it still tastes like some strong poo poo but it doesn’t make you think you drank pure promethium. A decent looking mutant with a third eye takes notice of Amaryllis and starts talking to her. “Life in service to Grandfather Nurgle isn’t so bad. In time you’ll learn to appreciate his gifts and realize the one truth of this universe. I digress, my name is Gresh. I represent the Plaguehunter, the Dread Calvarius. Word has it you are going to the Temple of Lies. If you were to do my Master a favor, it would be greatly appreciated. Do spread the word to the rest of the faithful.”

Irregardless on how the rest of the conversation goes, the two ladies do get carried out by mutants to their hotel.

THE FAVOR
In a nutshell Gresh wants you to “acquire” a sample of tainted flesh from the Light of the Ascension. The crew on the ship has long since withered away and is but dust and memories. The samples are on display in the temple’s gardens shrine. Yes in the section devoted to Nurgle. Past attempts to acquire the sample have failed but Gresh is hoping you’ll succeed where others have failed. If pressed on why the attempts as failed, Gresh shrugs and only says he hasn’t heard back from those he sent. He’ll clarify and say that the people he sent before were experienced thieves but lacked that all so important invitation to the Temple of Lies. And that should make all the difference.

STEAL THE TOME
Amaryllis and Ciphrian, at different times come to a realization. Its about a book, a really old loving book. Over ten thousand years ago, a man now only known as Damon wrote the theoretical treatise on psychic matters of his time, Damon’s Third Treatise on Matters Rare. Access to the remnants of the tome require a chaperone and a special invitation to one of
the highest chambers of the Temple of Lies. Even then, some portions of it remain off limits to any other than the temple’s highest magisters, barred from even the most important of guests.

They both have a unique opportunity to gain access to this hoarded knowledge, perhaps permanently if they were bold enough.

THE SITUATION
You have yet to be formally summoned to the Temple of Lies. However a cursory chat with the despicable Theon would reveal that you have “full access” to the Temple of Lies and that a man named Orick would be by in the morning with a halftrack groundcar to shuttle you. You of course don’t need to wait because you have your own wheels. You can be at the Temple before sunrise.

Amaryllis has unlocked a secondary objective for herself that she could share with Ciphrian maybe though the rewards will be lessened. Ciphrian is unaware of Gresh’s request unless told by someone.. Amaryllis and Ciphrian are both potentially in competition to steal some old rear end book though. They could cooperate but what's the fun in that. Or they could divide and conquer and each snag the full bonus.

2 Infamy and 250 for each secondary objective revealed thus far for those two. For the rest of you, don’t fret. If you do some research at the temple before the Oracle calls for you, you can get a Common Lore, Forbidden Lore or Scholastic Lore Advance at half price. You may go into exp debt for it.

"Hi Theon, ya know, you were really nice to me last night when the guys carried me to my room. Maybe you and I share the same Prince, huh? Since you gotta stay here with all these 'regular-looking' people, is there anything our Lord might want us to do?" Jenny inquires about the possibility that both Theon and Jenny are aligned with Slaanesh and if there are any things that she can do in the name of beauty.

Fun Shoe
Amaryllis
Child of the Warp manifestation: Tainted Aura: Animals within 30 metres become spooked and agitated.

Slightly tired from her late, but fun night out Amaryllis looks with mild frustration at the remarkably lovely Rhino they had been gifted. She strongly suspected that she was the most competent member of the 'warband' in terms of mechanics and engineering, the rest being far more single-focused warriors and lunatics.

Parts of it were simply missing. It had no roof. Scrap metal had been patched over holes. The guns... worked? The doors did not. Presumably the engine turned on and off, but that might be optimistic.

She keeps circling it like an angry predator, or maybe a scavenger. Angry at its poor condition, and those that had brought it to its present state through abuse and neglect. Stripped of its rightful place as a proud leader on the battlefield, but still enduring hardships to the point of annihilation... Wait, was she identifying with a Rhino tank? Maybe her brain had already started rotting. She shakes her head and gives the Rhino a half-hearted pat on the armour plate.

She had the knowledge and skills to bring this metal behemoth back to glory, but she needed tools and parts. So she heads to the Surplus Legion to get help from the owner. A Chaos Space Marine, apparently. Well, she was sure she could work something out. She could be charming when she wanted to be.

"Hey, you handed out a Rhino to my group. Very generous of you, but it's the biggest piece of scrap on the planet, not counting this Thunderhawk. The rest of them probably haven't noticed yet because they're mechanically incompetent, but I'd like to drive around in something that won't stall out in the wasteland or whatever. So I want to fix it, make the doors open and shut and everything, but I need your tools and parts to do it properly. By the Warp have you even looked at it lately? By the grace of the gods it hasn't fallen apart yet, and the Machine Spirit is a frightened cripple instead of a fierce fighter. If that's the standard of your work then no wonder this world is your home."
Oh poo poo I said what I was thinking and thought the thing I was supposed to say

Assuming she survives his response:

Instead of receiving aid from the Chaos Legionaire, Amaryllis is left to figure things out by herself. Her mind, her hands, and some ancient, rusty tools she found wedged into a gap in the armour. Through a combination of brute force, litanies of threats and appeasement to the wounded Machine Spirit, and actually knowing how things go together, Amaryllis works on the Rhino's back ramp. There are so many other issues to address, but without tools or parts there's little she can do besides promise the Machine Spirit a new life.

Jenny, the Everpretty

After having a nice conversation with Theon, Jenny decides to go see the Rhino along with Amaryllis. After hearing, what she said to the Marine, Jenny has to jump into the conversation. "No no no no, that's not what she meant, oh no, please don't hurt my girlfriend. If you do, I don't know who else to be pretty with. Please be nice? For me? Look, she's even fixing it herself! It'll be mostly good as new I think! Yeah, it'll be like, a third as pretty as I am when its done. Totally!"

calm down remy vs 67: 1d100 29 Note, this was against straight fellowship, if its a charm attempt it is +10 against 77.
I thought it might be difficult to calm a Marine down given their cold hearted nature so I rolled straight fellowship instead of Charm +10
