Fart Pipe, I think. And yeah, it's a huge bonus - my income was a bit higher than I expected, but still very, very low ($16k). The only reason I'm getting anything back is because I went to school last year, I'd be owing a (very small, less than $50) bit otherwise.

It's going to pay off a hospital bill, a few months worth of tolls, and bring my credit cards back down to a $0 balance - the hospital bill and the tolls are the only bills I'm late on at the moment. I've had to rely on credit cards entirely too much over the past couple of months, I finally have some decent income again - I'm averaging about $100/day with this job, in a 5 hour shift.

I've got to finish up a couple things on ours, and that's about what we're expecting as well. Pretty happy with that number considering I posted a profit on the business this year.

I was sweating taxes on my 1099 income, but even before adding in my school expenses, I was owing less than $50 for the year - and that's without itemizing deductions, my mileage/tolls weren't enough to exceed the standard deduction.

I still haven't received a 1099 from Amazon, but I finally looked through my payment history from them yesterday - I received less than $600 from them, so they're not required to send one. Just threw it in as misc income, didn't make much difference in the end.

Ugh. First day working in almost a week. I was actually feeling downright human when I woke up.

... my last route of the night from Amazon had 7 stops. Two of them were large grocery orders, plus there was a nasty accident on 635 that added an easy 20 minutes to the trip. Which resulted in the last 2 orders being fairly late (scheduled for delivery between 8-10p, dropped off closer to 10:15), and getting chewed out by one customer. Of course I feel like death now, I want to curl up for at least a week and not move. My arms feel like wet noodles from the two large orders, both were to apartments (so I couldn't park anywhere close to where I was going) - I really need to get a folding cart of some kind.

I need something 3 or 4 wheeled, unfortunately - the stuff I'm delivering for Amazon is packed up like this:

Doesn't really lend itself to being loaded on a hand truck, especially since some of the bags may have stuff like produce. I have absolutely no idea what's in the bags, unless it's an insulated bag. The insulated bags have a sealed paper bag inside them - with a block or two of dry ice if there's frozen stuff. I don't get a packing slip or anything, just a slip of paper that shows the suggested order that I drop everything off in and how many bags are in each order.

It does look like Magna Cart has something that might work though.

Metro won't activate a Nexus phone without jumping through a lot of hoops; for some reason, half of their CSRs told me my phone was stolen when I tried to move to Metro. They have to manually add the IMEI to their system, and finding someone who will deviate from the script can be a pain.

Cricket = AT&T Prepaid with lower rates (and an 8Mbit speed cap) - they're fully owned by AT&T.

Metro is also fully owned by T-Mobile, but T-Mobile prepaid is much, much easier to deal with (at the expense of slightly higher rates). Metro's data is also deprioritized over T-Mobile branded customers - doesn't mean much if you're in an area with lots of bandwidth, but if you're in a congested area your speeds go to barely usable in a hurry. Metro also ties the SIM to the phone, so you can't just swap your SIM to another phone without calling them (and convincing them that no, your phone is not stolen simply because the IMEI isn't in their database).

I gotta say, the factory (front) speakers actually sounded drat good (the rears are lovely full range speakers), they've just been cranked to 11 nonstop since I bought the car. Still sound decent, just want something with clearer highs. I'll likely swap the factory front speakers to the back and ditch the ripped full range speakers.

I wanted to go with components, but the cheapest remotely decent set is more than double what these coaxials cost. Not that these are great coaxials, but they'll be a decent upgrade. Next time will likely be some Focal components up front + moving the Polks to the back, though I'd like to find the OEM sail panels for the 6 speaker stereo so I can keep everything looking stock.

I was shocked when I saw that with PP and Streamstream too. Maxxsonics owns Hifonics (along with Crunch, MB Quart, and Autotek), so I'd look at it as a budget brand now. I haven't had any complaints about my Crunch amp, but I know it's made in China, and know it doesn't put out anywhere remotely close to what it claims.

I actually got the non-shallow version of those Polks (DB651) nevermind I ordered the DXi651. It was :10bux: more through Crutchfield, but that's with shipping and with the adapter pigtails, and they don't charge sales tax in TX. Amazon only stocks the marine version and the shallow version, so that was out (plus they charge sales tax, which would have brought it up a bit more). I'd forgotten about Sonic, I'll probably do my next order through them. When I order components I plan to get something a bit higher end than the Reference or Prime line; I like how Infinitys sound, wasn't real happy with my last set of Fosgate speakers.

Thankfully I don't need a mounting kit for the speakers, and even the non-shallow speakers will fit - though I will need to drill a couple of holes since GM is a special snowflake with their mounting pattern. My sub is also a Polk (DXi 12", single voice coil), I've been very happy with it. It's held up to a shitload of abuse and just keeps on pounding.

You know it's a good movie when the entire loving theater claps and laughs their asses off. :allears: Repeatedly.

Well, my main issue with an automatic for work is I sit in traffic... a lot. I can modulate a clutch and time my shifts to where clutch wear is pretty minimal, whereas an automatic is going to be shifting between 1 and 2 constantly when I'm in traffic.

I mean yeah, my left leg is about double the size of my right leg from all the clutch work....

Welp, Amazon didn't schedule me next week, and I only work for Dining In on Fri-Mon. So I have 3 days to myself.

You know what that means? That means my happy rear end is going to Austin on Tuesday, and coming home Thursday night or Friday morning. I haven't been down there since 2009..

Now I just need to find a hotel somewhere in north Austin (or in the suburbs) that isn't super ghetto, but yet still affordable.

And your right arm is double the size of your left from all the shifting too I suppose...

Yeah, we'll go with that. :wmwink:

Geeze, MB Quart, too? They used to be high-end as well.

This has been useful to me - I'm pretty happy with the Bravox 5-1/4 seperates I liberated from my Jeep into the CV, but they are just 5-1/4s. Thinking about buying some 6-1/2s to put in there. Pity the Bravox's were a closeout thing. Fricking butyl rubber and Kevlar, and silk dome tweeters for under $75 or so when I got them from Parts Express. They have incredible bass for their size.
I'm thinking Polk or Infinity.

I had no idea about MB Quart until I ordered a set of MB Quart speakers a few years ago... and the box they showed up in was very much "bargain basement electronics packaging". They sounded "okay" for the price (I think I paid $80 for a set of 6.5" components), but nothing great.

IMO both Polk and Infinity sound great for their price point as long as you avoid their bottom tier stuff. Though I do have a set of Infinity Reference bookshelf speakers, but they're from the 90s (and still sound great). I don't really care about a lot of bass up front, since I have a sub, but a decent amount of midrange would be good.
