It is the first victory for the Mumen Riders, and it breaks my heart that it wasn't with Junpei.

All right, here's the standings. The top 4 teams will go to the play-offs. I was gonna let the top 8 advance, but since interest has died down a bit I decided to cut that in half.

So, you Elite Four, go on to play each other. I wanted to do a tournament but since it's only the four of you that would probably not be all that interesting. Instead you'll just play all the other teams. So, three more games for every team. Maybe there'll be a tie-breaker for the top spot, if necessary.

Play-off games will be best of 5 series oposted to bo3.

You've gotten much better since I remember playing with you months ago (in goon games, so maybe my perception is totally broken).

It was easily my favorite series as it was the closest, especially the 2nd game with the near comeback we had.

Overall this time was a lot of fun, it kinda sucks to have the involvement die down after a few weeks but still I was surprised just how much reception this got the 2nd time around.

Great job with this Iggy and everyone else, I'm proud!

And that actually was the final game. Apparenlty! I thought there'd have to be more but I forgot that RSSS retired from the league for a second.

So the winners are The Papasotes! Congrats! As a prize you receive bragging rights!
They defeated both GNU Jazz! as well as the previously undefeated Eurotrash who, as a result, come in in second place for the play-offs. GNU Jazz! take place three and RSSS decided not to participate, probably due to being busy, but they get a honorable mention for making it to play-offs. The overall standings can be found here.

Yeah, that was a bummer. In part, time differences may have been a problem and in part some teams just weren't as into it as others. I speak from experience when I say that scheduling games proved to be difficult. So difficult, in fact, that I decided to 1v2 one game and got a sub for another. I had to do the whole re-shuffle because we were only ever able to play one of the teams in our group and the rest seemed to be unreachable, except for times when we weren't able to play. Originally the plan was to have every team play every other team but too many people signed up, and after I merged the five groups into two it seems that one of the groups may have gotten more of the better teams, which is unfortunate. Then, once it started slowing down again in set a deadline, which, apparently, some people only learned of after it expired despite me announcing it in the thread. Basically, I wanted to keep things moving. If I were to do it again, I'd do it somewhat differently, to ensure that things keep moving from the start. I was thinking of picking teams who have to play each other at random and they'd have to play within a certain time but I wanted to give people more freedom and keep things more loose.

But all of those hiccups aside, it was a fun time. Hope you all had fun too

It was fun! Glad to at least be in the top 3. I think doing a World Cup style bracket would lead to more exciting results. It would allow those who play well to continue on and those who lose to bow out gracefully. With 24 teams we could have easily done it
