It made the news because after the poor guy died in the ER, his family was receiving insane medical bills addressed to the deceased in the standard 'contact us about your bills' format. I think SA had a thread about it titled 'if you're going to get stabbed, have the good grace to die before you get to the ER'. Not saying it doesn't come across like a dick move, but ambulances/hospitals just send bills and don't stop to consider the circumstances of each incident before going 'welp, better get paid'
