I was getting more and more worried that I had to see him retire so soon, and in person at that. Turned out he was just announcing his entry in the Royal Rumble. Remember that Vince didn't even think for a second that this might in any way derail his Wrestlemania plans because Daniel Bryan didn't fit his parameters of "has what it takes to get over" and so ignored the fact he was already hugely over?

Scary thing about the first episode of NXT was that I was so used to seeing Danielson in ROH as an obviously short but still really jacked dude, and then he appeared in WWE and not only did he look tiny but he looked slim. Not because I thought it made him look weak, but it was one of those moments when it hits home how ridiculously muscular most wrestlers are, almost to the point of parody.
