As I understand it, he lost millions at his hedge fund, then started a biotech company with the specific purpose of embezzling funds to pay off hedge fund losses and pay his personal debts. Then he started the next step of the ponzi scheme, another biotech company (where he raised the prices of drugs) hoping to pay back the embezzled funds to the first company. I guess if you start enough companies, maybe you strike it rich at some point and can pay back all the money down the chain to make everything OK. That is if you don't get caught first. Bet you the fucker was trying to get quick cash to pay of the supposed tax he owes, or laundering whatever he has left into buttcoin to hide it. The problem with having that much in butts is that there is no way to cash that poo poo out. No one is going to have 15 million in cash to swap for the butts, you will have to find a poo poo load of smaller sellers to barter it into other items of trade.
