Space Robot: Sep 3, 2011

If you were eight right now, what would your interest be? What kind of things would you be doing?

I'd probably be really into all those Skylander/Disney Infinity/Amiibo things. My parents probably would have bought me an iPad, but probably not a phone. My brother and I would have the latest video game systems, and I'd have a bunch of Monster High dolls and similar, and those American Girl doll knockoffs.

Edit: If you are currently 8, then feel free to speculate on what your life would be like if you were a grown-up.

Based on my previous experience of being 8:
I'd watch a ton of cartoons. Not just the new shows but almost everything that was animated. Are there any channels that still show Looney Tunes and all the other vintage cartoons?

My parents would never buy me an iPad or a phone but they would buy good gaming consoles. I'd also ride my bike around, explore the creek near my house, and build a lot of Lego stuff with my siblings.

You've basically described my childhood, except I had to work to buy my own game consoles, and then my parents would buy the same consoles for my younger brother, because I wouldn't "share"

You're after Boomerang. Last I checked, they also sometimes show cartoons with an intro of their historical context a la TCM. Most of the time it's blocks of Loony Toons, Tom & Jerry and Hanna-Barbera properties.
