They can also get them via (gameplay spoilers) beating all the drabland challenges for a region - more time consuming, but less tedious. Although if Yoshi and Travis are fine with only Thorn getting the materials the coliseum should go pretty quick. I do want to see them tackle a few of the challenges though. Some of them get really hectic, and some of them will make you hate people.

Oh god Hinox Mines. There's a particular Drabland challenge that is just horribly difficult to do there (Don't Break the Balloons), especially considering it's just the third world. It was one of the last ones I finished and it's a nightmare trying it online with random people. Some groups can't even make it past the first room before getting a game over.
