I just released an EP of what I currently refer to as "Indie Dance" but I was curious if this is the most appropriate genre tag for my music. Here's a couple examples of what we sound like:

Also, what are some other bands that sound similar to this? I'd like to dive into the genre a little deeper.

Some groups that have a similar sound - you should take a look at "Cut Copy", especially the "In Ghost Colours" album - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Ghost_Colours

The Presets also have a vaguely similar sound - see the Apocalypso album.

I wouldn't compare this to Italodisco at all... it's not even close. I collect the stuff, own original vinyl, and I'm racking my brain to think of anything from that genre that sounds remotely similar - and I fail. True, a lot of modern productions call themselves "italo", but that's not really the genre. It's a modern 're-imagining' of the original which has little to do with what the original sounded like... /tangentover

Congratulations on getting some good stuff produced and finished. Now - generating money on sales - that's the hard part. I'm still trying to crack that nut on my own productions...
