i remember renting this garbage on VHS, i'm pretty sure theres a part where rocks are falling on everyone in some cave pool and they very obviously float when they hit the water. really broke my immersion in what was up until then a very good film about hyper inteligent apes

The Tim Curry fans that you gotta worry about are the Rocky Horror ones. If they are into that poo poo beyond maybe seeing it a couple of times, watch. the. gently caress. out. I really liked him in Clue, but it's just a dumb fun movie anyway.

In the King of the Hill episode where Peggy is helping the prostitute get her GED she has her read Congo. The whore tells Peggy that she got to the part where they shoot the gorillas with the laser, which apparently doesn't happen in the novel. Peggy doesn't challange her on it.
