How are there no photos of BJ Whitmer's classic "This Bump's For You" shirt? I need some. News: Roderick Strong lost the TV title to Ishii, is he WWE bound? Is Delirious on the hot seat? Could he be booking a ticket WWE bound? Could ROH be going to two hours? Is the show WWE bound? ROH has a new lighting rig, is the old rig headed to NXT? There will be FOUR shows with New Japan this year including the Global Wars PPV in Chicago. Is this show destined for the WWE Network? Eh, I don't know about that. All the NJPW guys facing ROH guys are doing it for a reason so having that 3-way set up before hand might have spoiled the Ishii title win. Either way, good match and maybe Goto will face Dalton Castle now. I'd like to see Ishii retain and have him go against Big Mike at the TV tapings.

Briscoes vs Love and Power is kinda random since they're all faces in both companies and haven't crossed paths. ROH's announcement of Omega for a random Philly date next month coinciding with the NJC spoiled a title change a lot more than that would've. You're probably still right though as there's been a late "change" to the card based on NJPW events several times before on crossover shows.

I don't think I follow. Are you suggesting Gedo booked a TV title change and Delirious was powerless to stop him because I don't think that happened.

Just wondering if it wasn't something ROH planned on when they first made the Anniversary card until Gedo asked for it when booking Honor Rising and Delirious said "no problem as long as Ishii drops it back to Roddy/Fish in a couple weeks"

Delirious is really bad about making his own guys look second-rate against the NJPW roster. If what we've heard is true and Gedo really only cares about not having Okada/Tanahashi (and previously Styles and Nakamura) job, there's no reason for ROH talent to be losing on these crossover shows as often as they do. I bet that TV title changes hands without Ishii being pinned. Which I guess it would have anyway if they were intending to flip it to Fish all along, but I still feel like Delirious should be sticking up the guys he actually employs year-round more.

Japan/ROH relations are always going to be a little one sided as the Japanese group is going to wield more power. ROH is booked more competitively against NJPW than they were against NOAH.

I dont know about all this inside baseball stuff but Jon Gresham has been lighting it up on thes TV shows. Kind of an unfortunate Chris Bosh situation with his name that my dumb brain never seems to let go. His moves are real rad, but he can be a half step behind sometimes. You can tell he's thinking through everything and not quite automatic with some transitions and things. So much potential though. Conversely, War Machine should be right up my alley in terms of poo poo I like, but I think I like Rowe and Hanson much better as singles, and they dont wrestle together nearly as well as they look lke they would. Real cool look, though.

I haven't seen much of Gresham, he seems really rad but (and this is not at all like me to say) I kind of get hung up on his size. Beyond put his match with Tim Thatcher up for free on Youtube for a while and Thatcher completely towers over him. Thatcher's tall for an indie guy but he can't be more than what, 5'6" at best? It works for me with Jon Silver because a big part of his gimmick is doing strongman spots a dude his size should not be able to pull off, but I think the slower pace of the mat-based stuff makes me focus on it more? I dunno. I would like to see more of him though, so ROH bringing him in would be great.

I think Gresh is really good at working that style as an underdog. His selling is good (and consistent!) and he's great at fighting for holds from the bottom without looking choreographed or fake like some of the flashier grapplers out there right now. He gets his poo poo in with finesse though unlike Thatcher, for example, who muscles guys around. He can also do the sprinty spot matches when he wants to. His CZW/Japan stuff and earlier ROH tags are a lot of fun. He doesn't do as much as other guys can but it always peaks at the right moment and never feels like too much. I don't peg him as a big player in ROH but as a guy hanging around and doing something different he's quite nice. ROH needs more simple but well put together matches on the undercard. The TV tapings are shaping up pretty good as well with these matches announced so far: Lethal vs. Goto Young Bucks vs. Elgin and Tanahashi reDRagon vs. Okada and Gedo RPG Vice vs. Tag Title Winners (ANX or War Machine) Dalton Castle vs. Silas Young - Fight without Honor Kenny Omega vs. ACH Adam Cole vs. KUSHIDA I'm pretty excited about this weekend. Flying out to Vegas this morning!

Just listened to Chris Jericho's podcast with the Young Bucks and I'm happy to hear ROH is drawing more crowds these days. It's great to see them getting some really good traction lately with the new set looking amazing and them working with NJPW. Hopefully it's not a fad and ROH can keep new fans compelled to follow.

Only a couple matches tonight have really big angles going in because most of the matches on the card have outsiders in them. The ones that do will have a video beforehand
