For people that like horror or "strange stories" type comic books, should check out Black Zeppelin, they are pretty cool. You can get 4 of the 5 issues at mycomicshop.com for $1.35 each.

I think Matter Eater Lad would have great difficulty eating Wolverine's skull and hip bones, OP. Would be v interesting to see him poop out the remnants of his skeleton tho

Scalped was an awesome run. Crime, sex, drugs all set on a depressing backdrop of a forgotten and oppressed Indian reservation. And now the writers talent is being wasted on the uncanny xmen. Smh

This also makes me wonder what would happen if you cleaved Wolverine in two, would you get two Wolverines? FogHelmut fucked around with this message at 22:17 on Feb 23, 2016 |

Misty Knight is the best marvel character. Marvel is the better company between them and DC, but not by much.

I forget who wrote it but Severed was a good one too. Kind of broke apart at the end but it was still a great ride

Hey there were a lot of words about stuff I wasn't interested in reading in the op but I was wondering this: is The Life-Eaters series any good? It sounds sort of interesting, I don't want to download them but would consider buying them. Thoughts? ^^^ Severed was the last comicbook series I read, I thought it was okay, would make a decent HBO miniseries

Any story that a comic book fan wants adapted into a movie is guaranteed to be terrible.

So what's worse: the old-timey comics chock-full of wacky poo poo that appeals to dumb children, or the modern comics chock full of overwrought grimdarkness that appeals to dumb adults?

Jason Aaron writes other stuff too, you might want to check out Southern Bastards. Football, bbq and hillbilly drama, I really like it.

The cool thing about Dredd is that there's never been a reboot or any major retconning in the whole drat run. The setting has existed since 1978 and the timeline is the exactly the same and constantly references poo poo that happened 30 or 20 years ago. The DC and Marvel universes are pathetic compared to what 2000 AD has achieved when it comes to continuity.
