TSN has the racing Prime Ministers from Ottawa in their studio. Clearly the best coverage.

So nothing for nothing. (7th round picks are usually useless, and Platcha doesn't seem like that great even for an AHL player.)

Wait, are the Isles actually gonna try and get P.A. Parenteau back?

I got a notification from TheScore, otherwise I haven't actually looked into it.

Aw, I feel bad for Plots. Pays to break his KHL contract, has to adjust to NA ice, suffers through the Johnston regime, and gets benched for Kevin loving Porter of all people. I think he's better than his statline shows. Hope he find success with the Coyotes.

:agreed: he seemed like a perfectly capable bottom 6 player. I get that he has no value if sully won't actually play him, but still seems like poor asset management, especially since the return had no value

I feel like it's worse this year because the broadcast is an endless procession of terrible commentators. I'd rather just listen to Duthie and Dreger kill time for 8 hours.

He has a weird contract thing that means he adds cap space to a team if they buy him out in the summer. He has some value because of that.

Struggling franchise that might fold seems pretty in line with Russia?

I hope he does well there and makes the Pens look dumb though, because I think they gave up on him too soon.

TSN did a "tv timeout fun" thing where they showed panel look-a-likes. It wasn't that much better but at least they're having fun. I liked Dredger Buzz lighter and Pierre Caillou.

I can see that. He also has this way of speaking in a condescending way that's annoying but players seem to like him so he can't be all bad. I know Parenteau really likes him and wouldn't mind coming back to Toronto in the offseason if he's dealt. Another player who I forget now, said the same thing.

He's averaged around .33 ppg during his time as a Canuck. He doesn't really have a shot to speak of, but he has an excellent breakout pass and is good at holding the line on the PP. This is a down year for him, and injuries plus Desjardins having no idea how to deploy a stable breakout has hampered his production somewhat. Put him on the Caps or Stars and he'll rack up assists.
