The dirty secret is that spring training games are actually extremely boring to sit through, especially after the starters check out. Maybe it was different Back In The Day but I've never experienced that.

Hot take: Who cares if Mike Trout doesn't like bat flips? It's a legitimate opinion and point of disagreement. Everyone plays with a different style. The point at which it gets stupid is if teams decide that it's a transgression that must be punished. Otherwise, you're free to be affronted by whatever you want.
