I was just thinking about how Canada is so stacked they could field a couple of teams. And then I about the two non-national teams, and an idea came to me. Let Canada have more than one team in the next tournament. Players from BC to Manitoba on one team, players from Ontario to the Maritimes on the other. Or three teams, Ontario, Quebec, and the Rest of Canada.

I'm pretty curious about what they do at RHD. They have Weber/Burns/Letang/Subban/Doughty and I bet Armstrong will put Pietrangelo on the team.

I think him fading down the stretch on a slippery track at the Preakness really hurt his chances. Plus it's really hard to find hoof shaped ice skates these days.

It will. I don't think tickets are selling. You have to buy packages of the whole thing rather than individual games, and when they start at $1500 no one cares. I just looked on their site and I can still find a group of 6 tickets in a row in the cheapest section on ticketmaster. I assume things aren't going well if that's the case. They're resorting to bus ads and stuff around Toronto. It's kinda sad.

The ticketing package for the entire tournament is asinine. It's a major investment for something with no history or tradition. And this is why Toronto didn't get a Winter Classic!

No way IIHF will deny it, but the NHL might set the insurance rates so high it'll be even more costly for the national teams than it already is.
