I love that this is what gets everyone passionate about supporting Canadian products. I guess stupid white suburban Canadians care a bunch about loving ketchup of all things. How boring, how very Canadian. Like Facebook posts about your Roll up the Rim winning streak.

Ketchup is good bc you get sweet/salty/sour/umami all in one condiment. Mayo is good bc you get the emulsifying effect of oil no other condiment provides Mustard is real good too, in fact I can't think of a condiment I don't enjoy in at least one application

ok so is ketchup the same in canad? the thing here is that ketchup is really good on one thing on all hte things like I have no problem with what you do behind closed oors but I have a friend who literally drowns everything in ketchup - eggs, 20 dollar emometlte, 50 dollar ometel ,, crepes? omelet, hashbrowns, all the hashbrowns, doesnt get season potatoes "ill get the hasbrowns" oh they have the best season potatoes only on the west coast? you sure? yea ill get the hash browns ... dumps ketchup on them, why? I put ketchup on my grilled cheese, and iff you have never dipped a grilled chees in a ketchup you need to re-evaluate your life because it is to the taste buds what michanelogeno is to the artists mind, a masterpiece of delicate tastes

Ketchup is fine for bland tasteless food but if the cook actually seasoned your meal then you're a fool to sauce it.
