I feel like a big part of the rangers problem is that they have no real chippiness or personality/aggressiveness to their game like 80% of the time. When they play with urgency they're pretty drat good but they spend too much time kind of going through the motions and coasting

lol Girardi makes like one great outlet pass and Zuccarello fumbles it which leads to lots of sustained pressure and Girardi reverts to his lovely habits and then the rangers take a penalty the ONE time Girardi makes a good play and his teammate fucks it up

Its getting really hard to hate the Rangers because all I can see in them now is their trajectory following that of the Canucks after their SCF loss and I wouldnt wish that on anyone. Except the Kings.

They draft a lot better than Vancouver so it won't be *that* bad but the defense is going to be so goddamn bad until they can get rid of Staal and Girardi. Girardi *might* only be around one more terrible year, as his NMC is gone in 2017, but who knows what management will do. e: most of their core players are still pretty young too (other than Lundqvist  )

The Rags were trying to have more delicate an approach and got ragdolled physically by the CBJ for 55 minutes.

It goes back to when AV took over to be honest. He wants them to play under control and deliberate IMO but they don't know when to turn it on effectively
