I don't care if you personally dislike their music, but The Beatles innovated across a variety of music styles and were successful for decades. They deserve recognition among David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, etc in the pantheon of top-tier music. They will remain immortal in the history books as having created some of the eternal hallmarks in music as part of human civilization and history as a whole.

Beatles were great. Best albums were Abbey Road, Revolver, and Rubber Soul. That early "YAH YAH YAH" garbage is drivel however.

Rolling Stones had to stand in their shadow, however, and that's too bad. Songs like "Mothers Little Helper" were super edgy for the time.

there's no better way to sell your favorite band than by making it mandatory, no one was more popular than the lunch lady at my grade school who would scream at little kids if they didn't eat their broccoli

the beatles are pretty foundational w/r/t today's music scene so they are kind of mandatory

Paul McCartney is much better. John Lennon got to be so popular due to marketing and name recognition.

do you also dismiss the entire catalog of a very well respected and influential band because they played Hard Day's Night on the store radio in Target once and you didn't like it because you were in a bad mood from your mom refusing to buy you the new expansion for pokemon cards because that's literally every beatles disliker. that's you.
