And in fact, you wouldn't even need to use Attack the Flank since if you move it to the tunnels, Opo's Blade of Bone will cause it to die - which also makes me realise I need to change the text on that card to read 'after an enemy disengages from you' since the intent was that any damage caused by it happened after the disengage, i.e. does not cause it to blow up on Opo.

So that's the tier 1 boss which just entered the tunnels, which means subsequent enemies will be a bit harder! You seem to be on top of things though, I'm sure it will be fine :)

Just a reminder for spending XP - you can buy new skills for xp equal to 5 times the level of the skill, or new dice at the cost of 5xp for the first, 10 for the second, 15 for the third etc.

You can also buy your other level 0 skill for 3xp if you wish.

Ok I could be wrong about how a couple things work so let me know how this looks

Spend 5XP on Drain Life

Soak the damage from both of the creatures (7dmg)

Initial Roll: 4,6,5,4,1

4 Bandage: Heal me up for one
1 Strike: Hit the Shrike for 1dmg
6(3), 4 Drain Life: Hit them both for 2dmg, which if I'm reading that right kills them all

Put the 5 in reserve.

Should kill them both and I take 6dmg.

Ah sorry, I think I see how you took that from it - I'll need to rework the wording on it. Drain Life should be:

"Heal 2 wounds for each enemy engaged with you. Any enemy engaged with you which has 2 or less health remaining is killed" - i.e. enemies which are nearly dead can be finished off.

So Drain Life would heal you for 4 (since you have two enemies engaged) but would not kill either of them since they would both have more than 2 health left.

Let me know if you want to get a different skill instead.

I'll spend XP for a 6th die and then react using my 2 and MTV's 6 to Knockback Shot my engaged Dredge over to MTV.

1st roll: 1-1-3-4-5-6, holding 1-1-3-6
2nd roll: 1-3, stopping at 1-1-1-3-3-6

Actions:
Using 1-3 to Chain Shot at MTV's enemies:
1st Dredge takes 3, 2nd Dredge takes 2, Shrike takes 1.
Using another 1-3 to Chain Shot again:
1st Dredge takes 2, 2nd Dredge takes 3, Shrike takes 1.
Dredges should be dead for 4 XP, Shrike should be alive with 4 damage taken.

This leaves me with a 1 and a 6, anyone have a request for my dice? I could spend the 1 to Quick Shot and kill the Shrike I just hit or spend 1-6 to Open Fire and kill anything with 4 HP remaining. If I kill a Shrike, I could also spend the 6 as a 5 to buy one of the 2 cost items or save the 6 for a future turn.

Remember that the Dredge that engaged you will take 2 damage from Knockback Shot, so you could actually kill all 3 of them with 2xchain shot.

Yep that's quite right. There was also a '1' available on your turn as an assist dice from GTR. Since it's about to be his turn, if you don't use it now it will be lost (well, rerolled on his turn) so unless you have another preference I've applied it as one more use of Brand.

For everyone, make sure to check the assist dice that are available at the bottom of each update. It can sometimes make a pretty big difference!

No, you can buy them in any order if you have the xp to do so. I'll clarify that in the rulebook.

Edit: The intended trade-off around that is that the higher skills (typically) require more dice to use, so if you haven't bought dice yet they can be harder to make effective - plus having to wait to buy them meaning potentially having weaker early turns if you don't purchase any lower level skills.

Oops, I realised I forgot to mention the bit where you get attacked, which would also mean that the Skitterling would move on to SilverMike. That said you can do pretty much the exact same thing regardless, so I've gone with that - let me know if you would like to change it:

Opopanax takes 4 damage from Shambler and Skitterling. Skitterling engages SilverMike.
Opopanax uses Bring Them To Me on GTR's Shambler, and SilverMike's Skitterling. Both take 2 wounds.
Opopanax uses Strikex2 (1,6) on existing Shambler
Opopanax uses Drain Life to heal 6 wounds and kill two Shamblers and one Skitterling

How does that look? Same result except it also kills the Shambler that started engaged with you.

Thanks, I've definitely found that this stuff is a lot easier to keep track of playing it tabletop since you only have your own items/xp etc to worry about - keeping it updated for all players is kinda burning my brain.

Unless someone chimes in with ideas to change my turn before MTV posts, I'm locked in. Saving the 2-4 for Hide in Shadows will let me heal 3 damage and skip engagement checks. I'm liable to try for the 2-4 combo every turn now to keep myself clean and able to freely shoot down your monsters. And Hide + Chalice should let me tank the Prey-Seeker for a long while, so focus on other monsters first.
