On RT, their article predictably doesn't mention Putin and all of the paid trolls in the comments section are wondering aloud why not a single American is implicated in this sting. I do find it interesting that no American politicians are named in this indictment, but I just assume they have their money hidden somewhere else.

I know it's hard to believe, but Americans have relatively strong laws regarding finances, along with low power distance and a well established reporting system. The repercussions for Americans are very real and the mechanisms for stopping this are very sound compared to banana republics, former Soviet States, and other backwater shitholes like Iceland or whatever.

Yep they're selling these places out to protect America. Now they can say people do deal with corruption blah blah, wash their hands of their bullshit, and have a bunch of groups with motive for future terrorism so they can continue to pump money into Americas domestic war on its own people.

Friend, the American rich are just as deeply into this, they just hide it better. E. Absolutely no one is surprised by this, just that it was so large and people actually got caught. The most surprising thing is that Putin and Jinping are being mentioned in these papers, if only by associating. Jinping might be able to be disposed relatively peacefully under the Communist mantra, but Putin is going to go batshit if people start finally calling for his head. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/04/2...l?_r=1&referer= I hope this finally sticks on the Clintons. It probably wont but kt would be great if it did... As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well. And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock. Frank Giustra, right, a mining financier, has donated $31.3 million to the foundation run by former President Bill Clinton, left. Joaquin Sarmiento / Agence France-Presse — Getty Images At the time, both Rosatom and the United States government made promises intended to ease concerns about ceding control of the company’s assets to the Russians. Those promises have been repeatedly broken, records show.
