So does this series keep the trend of being a K-on parody or is it just a gimmick the author used to start off his manga? I mean Bai-ta is obviously comedic word play on K-on's Gi-ta.

Just so this isn't a surprise, I've just concluded a long meeting with Sharky. He apologized for how he came across, but would like me to bring his thread back as a place to talk about the manga, which is far ahead of what the anime is likely to cover. Anime and manga-specific threads are nothing new, and he's agreed to retool his OP, so I've given him my blessing.
