I mean, jury is loving out on this one, I cant tell you, I think Kendrick Lamar has much deeper meanings behind his music, but how can you dislike a song where like Wheezy F Baby describers how high on cough syrup he is as "leaning like a three legged lion" thats just classic also I think Drought III has the song where he sings about kissing Birdman lol

Kendrick has some of the weirdest tracks. It's like old folks music that's simultaneously the most irritating jazz you've ever heard. Kinda gets under your skin because it's obviously really thoughtful and irritating at the same time. Like high power is an undeniable tune. Lil Wayne is cool when he's on his cash money poo poo but I'm just kinda eh on his diva collabo poo poo most of the time. Anyways it's apples to oranges.

I feel like Kendrick tried too hard with TPAB. It's such a politically charged album and it's really good too, but obviously for live concerts its pretty awful. And since it's release I haven't really had the desire to listen to most of the songs on there. Lil Wayne in 2007 was better IMO. TPAB is just so...draining. It's hip hop mixed in with random jazz and repeated monologues, all trying to make it so deep and thoughtful and incorporating social and cultural issues into it and all that. It's not a bad album or anything, but I've just never felt like listening to it again, after the first time. Wesley's Theory and King Kunta are the only two songs on the album that I've listened to more than once or twice.
