This thing's deductive powers are amazing. The first caption I got that didn't involve surfboards or giraffes.

It just said that a picture of my cat was "inappropriate content" and that it would not caption it.

This thing can't even see really obvious smiles. Come on, why did they let this thing out into the wild? It's so not ready.Jonesy posted:Cannot stop laughing at this. Finally ai is justified The algorithm has promise, but so many flaws.

The service seems to be doomed to failure because it downscales the hell out of any image you give it to the point that there's very little of the important, differentiating data left to it. The original was 1200x1600, but the algorithm only works on this little thumbnail. edit: I also notice they crop the contrast on the image, so that the part under the smurf's hood is quite a bit darker than in the original image. edit: did I say cropped? I meant to say compressed. One of those nights. Prettz fucked around with this message at 05:31 on Apr 7, 2016 |

this is pretty decent, except it doesn't recognize two REALLY REALLY easy to recognize faces. It was also able to ignore the bottom half of garbage that the site fed it.

The first several posts in this thread made me think this thing was a math machine at recognizing famous faces. But as I put more and more of them at it (most of them with boring results) I got pretty discouraged. But now I'm encouraged again.

Three of the past 5 things I've tried to upload began with "a couple of giraffes". They've got some issues regarding pattern recognition..

It works really well for photographs, but it thinks that anything animated or hand drawn is surfboards and giraffes.

This this is really awful, the more pictures I feed it the less impressed I am. Nearly all of them are either really stupid answers, or answers that are a little bit correct but ultimately boring and not funny. awful ability to detect a girl's face this is okay-ish this is a spectacular failure how can you miss Teddy Roosevelt's face? What the gently caress. All of the historical famous pictures I throw at it are a letdown. It always gets at most one of the people correct and ignores the rest. Super boring. Seriously what the gently caress is with the "couple of giraffes"???

I don't know who Anthony Mackie is Not sure what I was expecting with this one, but it's not a good result because the algorithm ignores easily scannable text Yet another recurring description. How many pictures will it give this description to? Reminder that humans cannot understand anything without boatloads of context and a gigantic amounts of prior experience.
