windows 7 is the point where microsoft should have transitioned to windows as a service. The only end user visible improvement of windows 10 on existing PCs is being able to snap windows to quarter screens, and the only additional relevant improvement on new PCs is more up-to-date drivers. After windows 7 is when microsoft ran out of good ideas and started breaking poo poo again.
