The plot is just the opening crawl to A New Hope Yeah, stuff like "The Clone Wars" and "The Old Republic" should have been kept offhand backstory that you fill in with your mind (with something way cooler than Lucas came up with). I mean you know how in Predator they're like "yeah it's just like back in Laos" or whatever that's just for flavor, to imply a larger setting with a history. No one wants to see a Predator-less prequel where they shoot people in Southeast asia.

I can't tell if this was meant as a joke, but yeah, the reason why main protagonists of slasher and horror films are more often female (the final girl), is due to audiences feeling disenfranchised whenever a male hero shows emotional duress or vulnerability.
