Yeah, Rielly's contract is a good deal, provided he continues to progress as well as expected, but I wouldn't call it the best deal in the league. For example, Josi is signed to a much better deal, even if, I think, he was giving up less free agent years (so, essentially, it's not fair to compare the two). The big thing about Kadri's deal is that he's giving up 4 free agent years. It's not really fair to compare Tavares, Benn, or Seguin to him. I still don't think it's the best deal in the league or anything.

Fact is that the Leafs still need cap and contract flexibility in the short term, and he's one of the more conceivable moving parts. Nobody's saying Bozak had a bad year, he had a pretty good one. He's too old to be part of the team's plans though, so if he has value on the market it would be a waste not to move him.

I remember listening to a Brian Burke interview on TSN and he was talking about his time as GM of the Canucks while Crawford was coaching. Apparently a player (he never mentioned which one) came and complained to him that Crawford kicked him on the bench. Not a light tap either, it was a good full on kick. Burke's response was "if I was there you would've been kicked twice".
