A lot of Game 1 pregame and intermission shows will be yacking non stop about how it's the first playoffs in 30+ years without a Canadian team.

Anybody can tell a story but this guy says the "Mike Keenan vetoed the jerseys" thing isn't true.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/St-Louis-Bl...aEAAOSwoBtW4~cN

It has to at least be true that they didn't actually make enough for the whole team. Not even Mike Keenan would have been able to stop them from wearing it, and the unused ones would have hit the collector's market for huge money.

If LA could become a dynasty this year, that means Chicago's already there.

If Chicago needs another cup to get there, LA can't get there this year.

Either way you slice it, they don't both have dynasty status on the line. One or the other does, depending on who you ask.

I think people are just tired of Chicago being so drat good and being salary cap hackers, so they get a penalty -1 cup credit for dynasty consideration.

If 3 consecutive wins is the metric, the only dynasties in NHL history are:

47-49 Leafs
56-60 Habs
62-64 Leafs
76-79 Habs
80-83 Islanders

There's your claim to fame Islanders, you got the last dynasty in NHL history.

So once Kreider injures Fleury we're back to facing Zatkoff?

Sorry wrong, you got to three cup finals in four years and set the record for most wins in a season and have like 7 hall of famers on your roster you're a dynasty (spikes football)

2000-2003 Devils should be on there though I admit.
