Mass Effect 2: Armour, who needs Armour? Drinkin' at 11:00AM on a Sunday morning and Cerberus seems to have fixed Shepard's stupid run. Not a bad start.

Torrannor posted:Can't wait for you to gently caress things up, vanguard style. And without one of the worst inventory systems in video games! I do think it's kind of funny that Bioware looked at the complaints about ME1 and thought "Hmm, well, nobody really liked the inventory so let's get rid of it completely. That makes sense!". Hell, they even sort of brought in a driving section, though the Hammerhead is shitloads more fun than the Mako ever was.

Episode 1: Butts: I'll never work for Cerberus! Never ever ever ever ever! Episode 2: Butts: Meh, alright. Not like I have anything else interesting to do. Brings me to my first real complaint about this game: Why in the gently caress do like half of your squadmates not wear armour? Jacob is supposed to be a career soldier and a combat veteran and he more or less runs around in a space onesie with shoulder pads. Miranda's outfit looks like it was spray painted on.

I still like the Tempest, personally. The large clip and firing rate are great for my preferred Infiltrator strategy, which is cloak, run up behind enemies and unload half a clip in to the back of their head. Locust is great, otherwise.

Zaeed's already seen double duty. That makes sense. Grunt is fun to have around, especially when he does his little charge animation and knocks people over. It does mean, though, that we'll have to wait for another update to see just how bugfuck crazy one of Butts' former squadmates went in two years.

Legion's part on the Reaper is really small, though, just cutscenes and some dialogue, no gameplay. He's pretty much an afterthought in that mission.

Also it's kind of fun to have someone around that really just doesn't give a gently caress. It's kind of surprising that they didn't make her romanceable for FemShep, since the only other SS option is Kelly, who doesn't really count (at least not for the achievement). You can also be absolutely, staggeringly evil to Jack if you want to.
