Blizzards business model is now clawing at trends they missed instead of pushing out new content and winning people over. Overwatch is just TF2 like HOTS is just Dota/LoL. They're just trying to expand into those markets but it's the same bullshit you've played before.

i don't like playing video games with other humans who aren't my friends. and i don't have friends, generally. so overwatch is probably a very boring game, even if the asses jiggle like an aspic potluck. (i almost wrote "giggle", let's all take a few seconds to imagine the comedic implications)

warcraft 3 was the worst thing to happen to the RTS genre and is responsible for the bore fest of the last CoH expansion and DoW II so in my opinion Blizzard should be destroyed

HOTS apparently has a huge following and is more successful than they thought it would be themselves and they are hyping overwatch to be the next big thing, however, a friend on the inside told me, some people are sceptical due to it being basically a TF rehash with an "already dated concept" (his words), but they are banking on the casual market and the loyal Blizzard fans who buy anything Blizzard anyway.

i played about thirty minutes of overwatch in this open beta and it already feels like i've seen all there is to see of it it feels like a soulless f2p shooter, like TF2 with nothing added beyond a vague 'it's kind of superheroes?' coat of paint and it's going to make a gazillion dollars

overwatch tries to say it's got a great world and story that's had a lot of thought put into it but then five people can all be the same guy or girl on the same repetitive maps they really did just repurpose their MMO stuff into whatever they could slap together (if they didn't have HOTS, tenbux says that overwatch would have been their moba - probably do better than HOTS, too)
