In the news this morning IKEA reissues safety warning after another toddler is killed by falling dresser http://www.today.com/home/ikea-reissues-safety-warning-after-another-toddler-killed-falling-dresser-t87416%5C ur #1 spot for IKEA news posted:A 22-month-old Minnesota boy, Ted McGee, died in February when he tipped one of IKEA's popular Malm dressers on top of him in his room... Since IKEA furniture is already named using a made up ooga booga language, I thought this would be a great opportunity to do some rebranding of some of the more popular pieces, such as. becomes or becomes IKEA uses bold verdana font if you care.

Of course the Tillfalle will fall over. It says "occasional table" and "fall" is right in the drat name!

But occasionally it will work as a table.

It is a table every other weekend, and thanksgiving on odd numbered years and christmas on even years.

This s like the HD tv fad a few years back in chicago where kids would get crushed to death by HD Tvs that were too big for the tables they were on.

Use a bracket or something to secure it to the wall. Even the cheapo compressed particle board furniture I got from Walmart came with a strap to screw to the wall.

For the record, I have this dresser, and it comes with built in L brackets to attach it to your wall. It warns you that if you don't all your kids will die.

Making a piece of furniture with a heavier bottom and low center of gravity is a tall order, you can't expect cheap furniture companies to pay somebody to actually think about the design process!

It's not about the functionality, it's about making it as lightweight and cheap as possible to maximize profits. They know exactly what they're doing.
