Officials say they believe at least two children are among the victims. Among with the eight confirmed dead, two were teens in what Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine described as a "grisly scene." DeWine added at least four children were still alive and removed from the homes, including two babies. Story continues to get stranger. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has released the 911 calls made after eight people were found dead after suspected multiple shootings in Pike County on Friday. The first call was made from a woman at 7:49 a.m. at 4077 Union Hill Road, the site of the first shooting reported to law enforcement. “There’s blood all over the house,” the caller tells an emergency dispatcher. “My brother-in-law is in the bedroom. It looks like (someone) beat the hell out of him.” http://nbc4i.com/2016/04/23/attorney-general-releases-911-calls-in-pike-county-shooting-investigation/ The attorney general’s office has offered a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the shooter or shooters.

The Ohio attorneys general office released a chart. http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/25/us/ohio-family-killed-marijuana/ An official with knowledge of the operation told CNN's Nick Valencia that the marijuana wasn't being grown for personal use. "It was for something much bigger than that. It was a very sophisticated operation," the official said.

They seem to be still shadowing some of the family. http://www.whio.com/news/news/crime-law/rhoden-family-member-calls-911-fearing-for-his-lif/nrDW9/ Just days after the Pike County, Ohio murders of eight members of the Rhoden family, a frightened surviving Rhoden family member called 9-1-1 in Greenup County Kentucky, claiming he was being followed by at least two men in a car. Kenny Rhoden told the dispatcher the driver of the vehicle was trying to get him off the road and he feared for his life. Rhoden said at least two men were in the vehicle. He spoke to the dispatcher for nearly 5 minutes. He said the car moved in front of after noticing he was on the phone. This is your daily reminder to not have a weed farm in ohio and piss off organized crime people. No dog/chicken fighting either.

Vehicles towed from crimes scenes Tuesday Large-scale marijuana grow operations discovered at three of four murder scenes Preliminary autopsy results released Cockfighting cages found at crime scenes http://www.whio.com/news/news/ohio-shooting-latest-on-pike-county-murders/nrG7Q/ “There’s little jobs down there. Everybody has to survive some way. This is how they survive,” said the resident, who asked not to be identified because she fears for her life. She said the discovery of the grow operations has created a misconception of who the victims were. The woman added that she doesn’t believe Mexican drug cartels are responsible for the killings, as some believe. Instead, she believes the killings are the result of a common practice in the area known as “hillbilly justice” in which people take the law into their own hands as opposed to calling the police. “There’s a lot of drugs that are relevant in the hills right now, and with meth and heroin being two of the main ones, I don’t think this is over pot,” she said. Cincinnati-area businessman Jeff Ruby said on Twitter April 28 that he has withdrawn his $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of anyone involved in the murders. He cited “recent complex criminal developments” in the case. So either it was a mccoy/hatfield deal, or the cartels. I think who ever did it, got away with it.

Family: Rhoden property had video cameras On the day investigators issued a plea to Pike County residents for any video pertaining to the April 22 mass killing of seven family members and a fiancee, surviving relatives said video cameras might have been in operation at two scenes of the crimes. Attorney General Mike DeWine said Tuesday authorities have acquired video in what is on course to become the most time-consuming investigation in Ohio history, but need more of it. "We reached out to people initially that we thought might have video," DeWine said during a media session in his Cincinnati office. "We were able to obtain some video." Shot to death on April 22 were Christopher Rhoden Sr., 40; his former wife, Dana, 37; their three children, Clarence "Frankie,'' 20, Hanna, 19, and Christopher Jr., 16; Christopher Rhoden Sr.'s brother, Kenneth, 44, and his cousin Gary Rhoden, 38; and Frankie's fiancee Hannah Gilley, 20. Just before meeting with reporters, DeWine's office sent a news release requesting more footage from residents and business near the Rhoden family property. "This is just an attempt to get anything that has been missed," he said. Leonard Manley, the father of Dana Rhoden, said his former son-in-law Christopher Rhoden Sr. had at least two video cameras mounted to a building near the entrance of his trailer on Union Road. When motorists arrived at this driveway, a sensor would turn lights on, he said. “You could clearly see the cars and even the people inside," said Manley, sitting outside his home on Union Hill Road Tuesday. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2016/05/10/investigators-seek-relevant-pike-county-video/84186366/ Stories behind a paywall, but they have video supposedly, and haven't caught anyone. The people that did this are long gone.

So they released the death certificates, Death certificates have been filed that indicate seven of the eight slain relatives from a southern Ohio family were shot only in the head, most of them repeatedly. The Columbus Dispatch reports the death certificates signed by Pike County Coroner Dr. David Kessler say that 40-year-old Christopher Rhoden Sr. was only one of eight who was shot somewhere other than the head. http://www.wlwt.com/news/Death-certificates-reveal-new-details-about-Ohio-shootings/39765742

Officials: Miami Valley flooded with Mexican cartel members So far this year, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has arrested at least a dozen Mexican cartel members in the area. However, Captain Mike Brem says the arrests have not made a difference on the cartel’s drug trade business. “The fact is, the market is flooded. So, for us to say we’re making a huge difference on the supply chain – not really,” said Brem. Brem has worked for the sheriff’s office for 23 years. He says in his career this is the worst it has ever been. “We’re at the hotels, we’re at the airport and we’re on the highways. We’re looking for those indicators, those are the ports that they come in with,” said Brem. Their business is pushing drugs like heroin, a billion-dollar industry that the region is at the heart of. With the rising demand for opiates in the Miami Valley, Brem says cartel members are calling Dayton home. “It’s scary. I tell people and I talk to my kids constantly about the dangers of drugs, addiction and how it can flip your life around,” he said. We told you in May the two biggest cartels in the region are the Mexican Mafia and cartel kingpin El Chapo’s group, Sinaloa. http://wdtn.com/2016/08/24/officials-miami-valley-flooded-with-mexican-cartel-members/ No arrests have been made in the shooting investigation of eight execution-style killings of members of the Rhoden family in Pike County, Ohio.
