Stellaris meanwhile, feels really solidly put together. There's a lot of places I can see room for improvement or expansion, but it doesn't feel unfinished at all. Can't wait to see what kinds of stuff they add next.

No, this is Wild Guns. It is cowboys fighting giant robots, just not a Super Scope game.

Yeah, I barely remembered anything about it, it's a very light gun looking game so I figured it used the SS.

Square says Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF7 Remake will not be out this fiscal year (which runs until March 2017). NieR sequel has also been rumored to be delayed as well.

Like every E3 before it, Gaming 2016 is quickly becoming The Year of 2017.

Someone will probably make a Tron lightcycle VR game that will be nearly impossible to play for more than 10-20 seconds at a time.

I'm guessing Valve won't be at E3 or if they are just to shill the Vive.

Hoping to see some of Nier. I do wonder if we'll see anything from Kojima this year.

I don't think anyone expected FF7 Remake anytime soon. After FF15 people should really not be surprised about Square--you won'tr see KH3 until like Xmas 2017. It's no big deal, 2016 is stacked with so much poo poo as it is.

I'm expecting everything else to do with Square, Vanillaware, Nintendo, or Scalebound to get finished up at Tokyo Game Show.

It will be amazing to see the rationalizations people come up with to explain why VR doesn't take off.

Agreed, but it was the implementation and execution that rankled people. Like I said, the good guy/bad guy switch for the Vox is literally denoted by all of your crosshairs turning from green to red after a single line from their leader, as if all of the Vox are mind-linked by some evil socialist telepathy, and at one point the main characters literally state that they're just as bad as their oppressors, like the game is trying to make the pill easier to swallow. Bioshock Infinite purported to be tackling Big Social Issues from the start, so it got put under a harsh spotlight when it started to make pratfalls like this (and more so when it tried to sneak away from the conceit entirely for a lot of metaphysical alternate-dimension nonsense in the very end).

My issue is one second the vox are only sorta talked about, the next they are their and the next you fight them. they should have been in the game more. honestly they should have kept they "vertical slice' level with the Vox from that one e3. where they were basically played as nuetrual that worked until the played did something agressive toward them. then again i never got annoyed or offended by there being a "bad" leftist faction, just that they felt shoehorned in.

hmm. i love the mass effect trilogy, i am just worried about how the game will end up after dragon age I. DAI felt open and empty with mostly filler quests and massive amount of waiting for poo poo to unlock to do basic story missions. plus after playing the witcher 3, its hard to go back.

raditts posted:

Yeah, I was willing to stand up for the story in the base game to some extent despite all its flaws, but then the dlc made it clear that the entire thing was exactly as lovely and garbage as everyone thought it was.

And it dragged down BioShock 1 with it.

sorta. it didnt hurt Bioshock 1 enough for me to retroactively hate it. plus you see the most hateable character of bioshock 1 die.

Can they still create stuff for personal use, is the program pretty much going to lose all functionality when MS pulls the plug?

I tried out the PC version of Project Spark since it was a free download. If you try to play it with a controller, the controller loses connection repeatedly. This is because, if you have a keyboard and mouse connected, the game will always prioritize the keyboard and mouse. Doesn't even matter if they're being used, the game just decides that they keyboard and mouse is always the active input device. The solution was to either disconnect your keyboard and mouse or focus the mouse outside of the game window.

Wasn't that something they announced like a few years ago now but left it behind to have other studios make LBP3 instead while MM went on to create Dreams?

The amount of DLC the games produced over three main titles and some spin-offs was really something to behold, to the point I think they still haven't been able to get all DLC to transfer over to LBP3 from 2 or the first one? Was it because licenses expired or it just became so much of a clusterfuck in other ways?
