I'm assuming that since the guys who were banned were given a final response to appeals on the matter in the last 48 hours that upholds the suspensions, this is why the topic has now been brought to reddit (which isn't going to change the outcome).

The TL;DR is pretty simple: Ganking in highsec is not against the rules - Delaying CONCORD response is. Don't do it, and you won't get banned.

I always thought this was one of the best things about EVE. EVE is the first (out of two) MMOs I've ever played. The idea that the universe is lawless and does it's own thing in Lowsec and the idea that some of those who do criminals will try to get you in High sec as well makes it exciting.

Non PVP/PVE areas seem a little lacklustre. Having to constantly watch ones back goes hand in hand with the cool narrative the EVE online universe has.

I would certainly not want to lose my neat ships, but I would hate to not have that dangerous excitement even more.

one factor that really helps them though is that WH groups tend to be small, like really small (20-50 dudes for most, in one tz); HK can show up with many more active players (with the skillpoints to match) and just destroy smaller groups

inter-connectivity of WH space would probably help displace HK if there were another group in WH space that had the playerbase to do so

According to bill he used the Chimera to roll a hole belonging to PL Knocks in delve and it collapsed behind him instead of allowing him to jump out. He then warped to an anom rather than abandon the Chimera or selfdestruct it.
