This is usually true, but they'll be playing at Belson Stadium in Queens for the Open Cup, and have played a few games at MCU Park in Brooklyn (including the NASL final last year, IIRC).

LA at home is the best possible pairing for Portland thanks to Il Bruce's lack of USOC fucks to give. It's obviously not a sure thing, but I'd much rather play them than RSL or Seattle. Also, I'm a little shocked at possible 3 home USOC matches. Looks like the coin finally flipped our way.

Seattle's starting XI looks like total poo poo, so I expect RSL to win by 3 goals...or Seattle's going to 2013 DC this competition (with a rather poo poo season instead of a historically lovely season). Either way, I won't be able to watch.

Somehow the Sounders USL team (Plus some Bench Players) managed to win on PK's against RSL's first team sans Rimando. Our backup goalie Tyler Miller killed it and made 8 saves to keep us in the game and blocked two penalties to win it and somehow broke the curse of the Olympic White jerseys.

I watched the game from the 70th to 100th minute, and there was no way Seattle should have won that.

Union came back from a horrific first half to win 2-1. New York's coach was a pissy little baby, getting ejected near the end and slamming two soccer balls at Jim Curtins' feet on his way off the pitch. So basically LOL NYRB
