Bengals defense is predicated on having cornerback depth and their best is one of the oldest players and their second best is a mystery. I wish they had taken Nkemdichi, but Jackson makes a ton of sense in retrospect.

There should be some good pass rushers available for the Colts tomorrow, and if not then I'd be fine taking some of the DL or secondary talent that will almost certainly still be on the board. If we can get Spence, Billings, Jack, or Chris Jones tomorrow I'll be thrilled. If we can get Ragland or Dodd I'll merely be pleased.

So are the Cowboys only sorta dumb or REALLY dumb for passing on Ramsey for Elliott? I mean I would have preferred Ramsey also but thought Elliott was a close second choice, I think he can come comparably close to DeMarco's '14 production behind Dallas' offensive line while being less injury prone, and his blocking skills will hopefully help Romo not get killed over the next few years.

I'm really happy with the Treadwell pick. The Vikings have needed a big receiver for a long time and he gives them a physical receiver, who attacks the football, has a huge catch radius, and is a devastating run blocker. Teddy hasn't had a receiver who he could trust to make tough catches and I expect him to become a favorite target in the red zone. The Vikings have needed a receiver like this for a long time. I also want to thank Houston for trading up and jumping on the Fuller grenade. The Vikings apparent;y liked him a lot, but Fuller would have been a terrible fit for Minnesota's offense and would have been a terrible fit for their offense.

That you go with the safe pick in the 1st round, that we have a massive hole at NT with Raji gone and Pennel suspended, and there were two NTs worth a 1st-2nd rounder, one of them being Clark. Clark is a big space eater who is strong enough to get penetration on passing downs as well, is young, and doesn't have medical issues.

They seem to think he's going to be a good fit in the Cards scheme, and they don't seem to think it wasn't a position of need for the Cardinals, so why grade so low? Yes, they basically say he's a pass rush specialist who sucks against the run, so he needs to really turn out to be a great pass rusher to have value (and he has issues with balance and finishing that may prevent him from being great). quote:A former top recruit, Nkemdiche is one of the best interior pass rushers in the class (+23.4 ranks ninth) and his quick burst and power are tough to handle for opposing guards. Some of Nkemdiche’s struggles come in the running game — particularly when he’s playing on the interior — as he can get pushed off the point of attack against more powerful linemen. There are also times his explosiveness can disrupt in the running game, and there are ways to hide his deficiencies in the run game to maximize his down-to-down production. This pick will be remembered by how well Nkemdiche rushes the passer — if he can learn how to keep his balance and finish better, he’ll be a disruptive force in the middle of Arizona’s defense.

Rushing the passer from the interior is way more valuable than stopping the run though, and if you watched his tape he mostly gets blown off the ball from triple teams or "struggles" on double teams which would be almost literally impossible to do except it's happened to the texans last year. He's not a 'pass rush specialist' either when he's either playing between the tackles on meaningful snaps or stuck on the end when they are only rushing 3 in garbage time.

I only watched him against Vanderbilt, but he looked good enough against the run to me.
